Android go apps are launched to help ease performance on low end phones with 1gb of RAM. It uses less resources. Less ram, less space and less data. Let's take a look at some of those apps.

Google go: lighter version of the Google app that comes with all Android phones. It has its own search, maps. Etc. Normal Google app occupies 166mb of storage while Google go app occupies 12mb of storage. The normal Google app uses about 250mb of RAM while Google go uses about 61mb of RAM.

Maps go: lighter version of Google maps which also has many features the full app has. Google go takes about 200kb of storage while Google maps takes 87mb of storage. There's a let down though, maps go doesn't have turn by turn navigation. Maps go uses about 3.5mb of RAM while the normal maps use anout 180mb of RAM.

Files go: Google light version file explorer. Takes 14mb of space while 3rd party file explorer like solid file explorer takes around 22mb of space.

Gmail go: lighter version of Gmail. Has almost all the features of the normal Gmail including swiping. Takes around 24mb of space while the normal Gmail takes 38mb of space. Gmail go takes around 77mb of RAM while normal Gmail takes 260mb of RAM.

YouTube go: lighter version of YouTube. Interface is different from normal YouTube, tapping on a video doesn't play it but presents u with an option to either play or download. One let down though, it doesn't allow subscription to channels. Regular YouTube app takes 122mb of storage while YouTube go takes just 30mb. Youribe go uses an average of 74mb of RAM while regular YouTube uses about 103mb of RAM on average.
