*INFLUENCE! A DOCTRINE OF CARNALITY IN THE CHURCH*.

For a very long time the church have been indoctrinated to resent influence, they are indoctrinated into believing that every time people aspire to rise to prominent position to seat upon the notable place of influence it is carnality, we have created a theology that we are either to be carnal and influential or spiritual and private. Jesus was a man of influence.

*Influence is the ability to mold your understanding into people without using force*. To compel people to buy your beliefs without power but results. (Act 18:10 ) Shows that Jesus had influence.

It was the influence of Joseph of Arimatia that brought down the body of Jesus from the cross not prayers. It was as a result of the influence of Joseph arising from the relationship he had with herod, He was buried in his tomb

*There are 2 principal way the Kingdom advances*.
- *Evangelism*
- *Influence*

*The Gospel is a Message and its an Ideology. It not just a message alone. One must not replace the other*.

The Gospel is a message of the revelation of the Love of the Father demonstrated in the substitutionary sacrifice of Jesus and the response of man to that act of Love and Benevolence is the result of the life of Christ demonstrated in Man

The ideology of the Gospel is a system that seeks to enthroned Christ in the value-system First, in the heart of men and across the striata of Human existence . the great commission is "Go ye into....." Into means to enter . Enter system. Enter government. When the righteous is on the seat of power, the people rejoice. if the VC of a university calls the name of Lord it is an advantage to the advancement of the kingdom of God in that territory. If the wealthiest man in Nigeria calls upon the name of God it an advancement for the growth of the church.

*TEXT :Acts 10:38*

*38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.*

The word Propelling, is the continuous tense of Propel, which means to cause to move in a certain direction or to make to arrive in a certain situation or result.

The Bible verse above summarized the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ. Now for you to propel, there must be a propeller.
As Christians, our Propeller should solely be our Lord Jesus. Just as you can't push or drive without effort, and your effort is enhanced by Energy*, therefore, Jesus is our energy.

A fountain can't send forth sweet and bitter water at same time *James 3:11, the fig tree can't produce olive berries *James 3:12, so we must produce the lifestyle of Christ if we are truly His.

As without energy man can do nothing, so we should know that once we've believed and confessed Jesus, He has become our Propeller, so what do we do? We give all up for him to be our push and drive, then He becomes our wisdom and guide and then we begin to act as the light He called us, Matthew 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
You can't hide from responsibility anymore, God must be glorified in you. Matthew 5:13 says we are salt, and if you do not want to be cast under feet, then we must find our place and yield fruits.
If we claim to love God, it's a good impression that we must express by being His ambassadors on earth, showing forth His good works and living our lives after Him.

*Note:Impression without expression ends up in depression. As a believer, you're under obligation to do good, affect your generation, be a solution and not a liability, be a blessing and not a devourer to ur race.
You carry God's presence, Just like Jesus, but the difference is Jesus made maximum exploits with that than we do, but he beseeched us to surpass Him by faith. (Greater works shall yeah do).

Brethren, I would like to remind us in case we've forgotten, we are the Bible that unbelievers read. Once you have that orientation, the grace of God is more enough to help us portray Christ, I see God blessing us as we glorify Him in all we do in Jesus name.
