What will make APC to lose this election to me is that maybe they have forgotten that Nija people don wise up.....why must apc keep blaming the past administration alone?I pity any young person who still believe that Buhari still has anything to offer

LordAdam16:

It has nothing to do with skin color. It has everything to do with lack of transparency and accountability.

Over in the Western world, a public official can't keep public funds in his personal account. No one will put his/her signature on that and it will raise dozens of red flags. Over here, there's nothing stopping them.

Another good example is the current legal directive that says the EFCC and ICPC do not have jurisdiction to scrutinize state accounts. What do you think the state officials (from the governor to civil servants) will do knowing they're untouchable. If you turn off the light, the roaches come out. It's only natural.

The most effective way to fight corruption is to prevent corruption. Separate the goat from the yam.

-Lord

Leave the theory of separation at home.

When you get out on the streets you find it is human beings that must initiate and monitor such programmes.

As long as the humans are corrupt within, the yam and the goat would always merge.

Nigeria is rotten from bottom to the top and i think efcc is not better equipped to handle these corrupt cases as it is a political tool for APC vendetta. the internal audit, the judiciary, police need to be restructured. I think Nigeria have a long way to go before getting it right.

Food for the zombies.

Now, of course I would never defend a corrupt public official, but the article is pure junk.
According to what is presented in the article, the only crimes supposedly committed by the said officials was having sums of money in their Bank accounts. Only in a Zoo of a country can someone be guilty of an unnamed crime by simply having sums of money in their Bank accounts.
That , by itself is a war against capital. This type of anti-Capital warfare will continue to drive much needed Capital out of this country.

In a real country, the agency in question would be forensically audited to ascertain that funds had looted or diverted.
Then such funds would be traced to see into which and into whose account they ended up.
When you are sure that a fraud had been committed, you get a search warrant to raid the home and offices of the suspected officials to gather more evidence. When all the connections have been forensically established between the suspects and the missing moneys, thereupon you move to arrest and indicate the suspects on multiple , airtight criminal charges.

Right.

So why do we have three arms of government? Why do we have security services?

Or do you think if you leave the CBN vault open, people wouldn't walk in to take money.

Every developed country in the world separates the yam from the goat. It is a simple, yet effective measure. You don't want your kid to eat cookies, put the cookie jar far out of reach.

That's why we have public procurement laws. That's why the TSA was implemented.

Humans are inherently corrupt. That's why you must provide measures to prevent anyone from dipping their hands, and have strong institutions that can flag and prosecute these corrupt deeds.

In UK a curious deposit is regarded as proceed of crime. Your account would be locked before even the talk of judicial redress.

This is such a bull$hit. In a well organized country, if the news come out that someone stole so much from the public funds, his political career would be over. And, he would be put on trial and sent to prison for a very long time. There is no need for the fvcking government to say so-and-so is a thief. What a decent government would do is to arrest the culprit no matter how powerful he or she is, take to court and send to prison. See that fugly thieving b@stard "princess" Stella Oduah, for example. Gross misconduct, mismanagement of government money, pocketing government money, using government money for her own stuff... She should be wearing prison uniform in Kirikiri, not giving statements to the press...

Here they go again. Diversionary online media trials for brainless internet Judges. If ur accusations are true what happened to taking them to court to secure justice? How many people accused by this govt-by-the-media have ever been convicted by any court of law? Because there's never any evidences. All lies and propaganda.
We haven't heard anything again about the $26b NNPC contract fraud that was exposed under this govt. They hope we will eventually forget it.....maybe they are right because people are no longer asking about it.
And by the way, who was the petroleum minister under who's authority that fraud was perpetrated?

When u're supposed to continue asking questions, until justice is delivered, u're here laying unreasonable claims!

All d cases in court, have u read d flimsy excuses d judges use in throwing out cases? U can imagine d tribunal judge, claiming Saraki has no case to ans, for false n incomplete declaration of assets. U're not questioning d judiciary, but d govt that brought up d case

Did u read abt d $26b u're mouthing? I'm sure, u never read d nitty-gritty of d story. U heard d sum n started using it to mouth off!

In reality I've not seen any sincerity in thus Govt's. Fight against corruption. Imagine them making reference to the lootings of the former NEMA Director from Jan 2014- June 2015 and that of other former members. Agreed they looted, but does it mean that theirs no looting in this administration? e.g. Where's the likes of Baru, Babachir Shehu, just a few to mention.

Yes, but what is the definition of a curious deposit?
If you have running an account within the low 3 or four figures, and then all of a sudden, you make a 6 figure deposit , that , of course, would be considered a curious deposit. And by definition it arouses the curiosity of the bank, which by law, are required to report such .
But, and it's a big but, it is not a crime.
UK is the money laundering Capital of the world because they have an open door policy for Capital fleeing from other, particularly third world, countries.
They would never use silly gustapo tactics to scare Capital out of the UK and into capital-friendlier countries.

This is a clear case of corruption perpetrated by APC appointees, exposed by APC government and actions being taken by APC's appointed EFCC .
This does not happen in PDP.

Buhari's government is not headed by a nonentity weak guy who was too grateful to be made President like GEJ. There is a hard, spartan , old steady, confident hand governing the country now and we are seeing control in the growth of public treasury, Forex reserves and sustainable GDP.
Buhari will leave in five years, after him you can vote another weak idixt with a bossy wife ..for all we care

A Senate investigative committee has soumoned the VP who is the board chairman of nema in respect to this issue let him go there and present the government facts,Apc as a party always accuse others but when the opportunity comes for the presentation of facts they deviates and instead choose to engage in media trials to deceive and curry public sympathy nonsense.

See this one o. Even in ur so called real country, having a huge money in ur acct is enough to make u a suspect of corruption. especially when u can't defend how u are able to earn it..why do u think banks suspend accts receiving deposits more than they use to receive..

He who does not know and does not know that he does not know is called a what? Answer it!
Ask lawyers why previous govts that u are demonizing where able to secure convictions while ur almighty Buhari regime can hardly convict any accused. We are not all dumb like u.
U don't secure court convictions thru falsified evidences and media trials. The law has clear steps and procedures u must follow in order to prove ur case. Falsehoods and media trials is surely not one of them and when u bring such to the court , u will be embarrassed by the outcome. Ok? U can't secure convictions against me simply because I oppose ur views or because u hate me. U must prove it.
Why are all the judges in Dasukis case resigning one after the other. Oya, tell us, Mr Know It All
