Awopa is medicinal. You shouldn't take any drug not approved by your Dr cos these drugs cross into the placenta and disrupt cell formation.
Let me break it down. The cells are made of many components, now all medicines target cells of the parasite or microorganisms, now no matter how old mild a drug is, some of our body cells are destroyed during its actions (which is why some Drs prescribe blood tonic after treatment so that your body cells can recover)
Now they tell a pregnant woman to be careful with the drug she takes especially in her first trimester which is when all body organs are formed because you never know which body cell of what organ will be affected. For example if it affects a particular component of the cells of the lungs, your baby might have lung problems depending on which part of the lung was being formed. It might affect it in a way that the lung will function properly despite this malformation, it may affect it in a way that the lung will lose its function or it might not even affect it at all.
Since you can't tell for sure what is going on inside your womb, best to stay away from medicinal foods that you can't tell for sure how much of the active principle (the drug itself) it contains. Cos the frequency and amount taken also matters.
Although its not only drugs that caused these congenital disorders (birth defects), to rule out all possibilities, best to stay away except if the life of the mother or the baby is at stake.

I TTC for 20months,
Failed ivf, a mìscarriage, plenty faiped procedures, yet I kept trusting and pushing.

I conceive in July 2017,
it was a stress free journey for me. I had severe preE with my first son, which ended in emergency c-section. With this pregnancy the Doctors were not taking chances, was on Aspirin 75mg for preventing PreE, and on progesterone for preventing Miscarriage.

Registered for ANC in my 10th week.
With my history on the table, birth plan was put in place, which was elective c-section.

As I hit 37 weeks, a date was fixed for delivery.
Went on Admission on 2nd, 3rd April, I was delivered of my pretty Princess. My joy knew no bounds...
Same joy was cut short when Baby was not shown to me, kept asking why was she not crying? They kept assuring me she is fine.
Hmmm... in 5min heard the most beautiful cry and I relaxed. She was shown to me!!! Yea....
 I later got to know that babies are not cleaned in the same room but in another(bad practice). Took like for ever!!!

As I was been stitched up, a Doctor inserted something in my anus. Cleaned up, wheeled to my room, I was feeling ecstatic!!! Looking forward to meeting my Princess by my Bedside. Lo and behold Baby was not in the room, hubby was absent!

Mum kept assuring me she is fine.
Where is she? Before I start to cry... one heavy shivering fall on me.... I was shaking vigorously, mum was going to off the a.c., told her to increase it... it wasn't freeze shivers, but a reaction to one of the meds from surgery... my Brain was shaking... I just made up my mind not to die, but be alive to nurse my Daughter, I suddenly got positive that she is truly fine... my son came into the room, my strength and zeal to be alive doubled. 3 hours of vigorous shiver tamed down, slept off. I came around still asking about my daughter, with fear .

24hours later I was still asking about my daughter, I decided to belief them that she was in Neonatal for observation.
Immrdiately the catheter was removed, energy from no where came on me, I walked straight to the neonatal, about to pull the place down if I don't see my Baby ...
I was at the door, my Baby was lifted from her bed, with gadgets on her ... my heart Broke... went back to my room and cried .
By evening I went back begging to touch her... I was obliged... yea... hallelujah.
I will save you the details, am super glad about my choice of hospital! It would have been worst.
Like play... I was discharged on the 3rd day after delivery without my Princess. She stayed back for 3 more days.... I got to cuddle and nurse my Princess on the 5th day, was discharged on the 6th day... hallelujah.

Went for her follow-up yesterday, she is doing super great!!!

A girl about 20 years old, with a big handbag boarded a cab heading to NDU .The driver being vibrant felt a strong smell coming from the girl's handbag .The horrible smell made the driver suspicious , whom then use the light to signal the police at the stop and search point but because of 50 Naira the police were too busy to notice this. When he got to the school main gate he raised alarm they held the girl and beckoned on the school security to search the girl's bag . Many people were afraid not knowing what was happening . One of the security was shocked when he opened the girl's bag and found three heads in the girl's bag. After cross examination of the heads, the school securities found out that the heads were known heads.
It was the head of garlic, onion, and fresh tomato .

I wl also need som1 to recommend where i can get good prices for baby things based on experience, oshodi is closer to me sha......Abeg, i am 33wks gone o, it wl b a shame on me if baby arrives and i neva get any baby items

Abeg, i don come now make i update una. Im now 33weeks+ and my edd is now may28th. Pls i need advice frm experienced mamas::
1. My last scan few days ago revealed dt i av cervical incompetence, my cervix is presently avin little opening so d Doc suggested dt i must b on bed rest till i put to bed. Pls has any1 experienced ds b4?
2. Abeg i need a list of ESSENTIAL baby items. Av nt bought any baby things @al and im already 33wks gone. Thank u
