Even when you think you are grounded, you will still get defeated. The bible itself made it so. If a book contradicts itself, how then do you want to defend such. The more you try substantiating a point, the deeper you get into shit. Just ask yourself, could such book be from God or be inspired? For example, xtians claim Jesus is God as said in the Bible, same bible rebukes this single claim in the parts of it. Establishing the oneness of God is always a big nightmare for bible believers because they want to hold on to the fact that Jesus is God when there is a distinction between the true God and the 'said-to-be' god.
