my concern is not about who have ruled and how long he has ruled. It is about those contesting, no Southerner is showing interest. When the south was ruling, they had enough Northerners contesting against them.
Any ambition by a Southerner is tantamount to futile journey

Atiku + Peter Obi/Mimiko

Will win Buhari hands-down.

Atiku is a known thief, but like Dangote, he keeps using his loot and influence to bring international development to Nigeria.

It is high time Atiku should be vocal, visionary, loud and visible like Donald Trump!

I will vote him instead if a foolish, holier than thou idiot! That has contributed nothing positive to Nigeria in and out of government.

This shows you don't know anything about politics.

He's least popular yet he was begged by all organs of PDP to be the National Chairman to help unite the party and lead it to the right path even when he never showed a single interest.

He's not a strong candidate yet he defeated Hunkuyi backed by Buhari in 2003 Governorship and still defeated Buhari's backed ANPP and CPC candidates in Kaduna North Senate elections in 2007 and 2011 respectively despite the gang up by some members of PDP in Kaduna state.

If you don't know, Makarfi is the MOST respected leader in PDP as at today with strong and formidable structures within and outside the party in all six geopolitical zones.

Have you seen him running after "Wike and Fayose" like many people are doing? He has class... He has all his stuffs figured out!

BTW PDP loss in Kaduna state in 2015 was due to the animosity against JONATHAN, Yero and PDP as a brand... Unlike in some other states that was due to Buhari's wave (eg Katsina)
AHMED MOHAMED MAKARFI... That was the first politician name I knew as a child. Maybe cos I grew up in KD. I can't say how popular he is among the south westerners, but am sure Igbos LOVE him a lot. Though the hausa/fulani muslims here don't like him cos they see him as a 'repentant muslim' since during his governorship tenure as he was very fair in his administration.
For credibility sake, AHMED MOHAMED MAKARFI is the man. A Makaefi/Fasoye PDP ticket will do.

To be very Objective, the only candidate PDP has with nationwide popularity, good will, pedigree and know how is Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
Say whatever you like about the man but if PDP stand a chance it has to be with ATIKU. No matter how good we think Dankwambo is (i personally think he is the best candidate), but outside the north, Dankwambo is not even known, well Lamido still has some corruption case against him, Well, Makarfi is a perfect leader but politics is not always white or black. I will just advise them to go with the man ATIKU!! My one cent.
I Think I Quite Agree With You, He is The Only Choice Nigerian Has Now and I See Nigerians Rallying Round Him.
The Man is Well Known in all Parts of Nigeria and That is Some Thing you Cannot Overlook in Politics. People tend to vote for who they know rather than any other factor you might want to mention. cool

Dankwambo, has all what it takes to be a leader, because he has done it in his state ,PDP should please Allow Dankwambo to display what he has for Nigerian's .

Gov. Dankwambo is the preferred choice come 2019, a lot of youths would back his vision and ideas, because he is a man that is sure to deliver on promises unlike our past presidents you can reference Gombe state he did an amazing Job the past 7 years
Re: 2019 Elections: Who Would Be Your Choice For The PDP Presidential Flag Bearer? by fati241: 9:48am On Apr 28, 2018

Tonye, pdp is not all of nigeria o. Pdp may beg him to reunite but the quest is who has the common ground across all region, across the nigerian landscape. Where was markafi when GEJ needed northern votes?

Objectively, the person thats more popular and has the means is Atiku. Thats not to say markafi doesnt have a credible status but is it strong enough to fight a good fight with the buharis and tinubus?

I may not know Buhari well but i know Tinubu so well and he is a man that never let go once he has his hand on something and even has the upper hand.

All these arguments are irrelevant till PDP agrees on a consensus candidate who is financially strong and resoundingly popular. Once thats is solved, then they begin to block every loophole for rigging even if it means helping people to get pvcs, and encouraging left, right and center for people to cone and vote. Throw bashes and engage the youths that buhari referred to as lazy. Keep INEC on its toes such that to rig would fear them. No breathing space at all whatsoever.

If they can agree on that, then they might be chance. This present government is not as magnanimous as GEJ o and would do anything to retain power. The truth is they dont need nigerians' vote. Its PDP that needs it.

It is after getting the power, then we can begin to discuss credible candidates to succeed. Am not saying the person they agree on is not going to be credible, sure the person would be credible also but the hard truth is its the least concern here. We just hope the person has a humane heart and will do whats it right. Credibility only comes to later and to sustain the foundation on which they will build on.

You say markafi lose pdp in kaduna due to the reason you mention. Thats thrash. He was irrelevant else, he would be able to xonvinxe his colleagues in the state otherwise. The gap in the results alone shows he disnt even have a say

Since 2011 Atiku has been on losing streak in primaries of party.

2011 na second he see for PDP

2014 na 3rd he see for APC

2018 na 4th e go see for PDP...
Just like Buhari lost 3 times and today he is the president! Wake up, Makarfi can't stand the brutal battles ahead. It is not about Mr Nice oooooooo! PDP must come with a disruptive approach during electioneering not conformist narrative that the APC wants! Who so ever the APC malign the most is certainly their most formidable opponent QED!

Makarfi has precarious health issues.

I may not have facts at hand to show you but he really does has health isuues.

I use to trip with a girl called FATI who lives in Makarfi's household few months to the 1999 gubernatorial election In Kaduna state.

I over heard a lot of things back then.

An aunt of mine also worked as a clerk to his office during their days at UNIVERSAL TRUST BANK in the early Nineties.

Besides these we all can still remember how Makarfi spent the first 24 months in office as a governor -shuttling between the State house and a German clinic in Berlin.

Please don't sell a PROP to Nigerians AGAIN.

Atiku is the only man who can unseat buhari because he's popular both in the Southern and Northern Nigeria. PDP should not make the mistake of bringing out any of Dakwanbo, Markarfi or Lamido. APC is praying seriously for PDP not to give atiku ticket
Can you mention a single State Atiku can win in the North?? How many state did he win in the North when he contested as president in year 2007? Is Atiku popular among the Talakawas in the Northern part of Nigeria? Is Atiku acceptable in SouthWest? An average Yoruba people on the street believe that Atiku is a thief. How many Northern elders or people have associated themselves with Atiku since he joined PDP? How many Northern politician has tergiversated to PDP since Atiku as join the party? How many politician in Adamawa where he hails from has join him in his New party? People says charity begins at home but as at today, Adamawa State Governor is one of the leading APC Governors who are clamouring for Buhari's reelection in year 2019. All the 3 Senators in Adamawa are still in APC, Same as house of Representatives members. Non of them associated with Atiku. Give Atiku presidential ticket and I congratulate Buhari in Advance.

Amongst all this Candidate the most loyal, least corrupt and hard working in terms of development, from the top

1.Dankwambo

2.Maikarfi

3.Lamido

4.Atiku

From this list you can predict who stands a better chance of defeating and unsitting the ruling party that promised but couldn't deliver.

Dankwambo is d best candidate for PDP but he is not popular in the southern part of Nigeria and he is not buoyant in terms of cash that can match Apc's cash. Because of this, I think Atiku should b PDP flag bearer. He is popular both in North n South.
So you mean if Dankwambo is PDP flag bearer , the other powerful men in PDP won't support him financially.. That's more reason why APC will win and win again

I think Atiku is the only candidate from the north that can shake Buhari if PDP wants to win. Buhari should forget the North Central because they believe they've been deceived by him. And for the SE and SS is for the PDP, in d NE and NW the votes will almost be share equally and in the SW the Youth want a new face that will tell them they aren't lazy. Let's stop ranting here. Go get your PVC (personal voters card).
