Thank you. If it was SA I'm sure they won't say such. They know Nigeria is a shithole basically and dat impression is magnified into different meanings.

African Americans are the most ignorant set of people you would ever meet. They think the world revolves around around that little ghetto they live. And they will be the first to scream hate and injustice when a white cop blows their brain out yet they keep on disrespecting their fellow blacks. I hope they all get shot in front of their kids by those savage police

Animal! That's what you are. Better hope you and your family don't get shot by your own policemen who are more unethical in the discharge of their own duties.

That is not the point, we Nigerians don't even like to associate ourselves with black Americans here 70% of them are not useful. Most Nigerian guys here can never marry Akata. So nobody wants them to be black Africans, we are Nigerians and black Africans and we are highly respected by all races. Even the Akata people know we don't send them.
You're still seconding to my point. We have no correlation and our relationship has never been cordial. Black Americans and black Africans shares tough love.

..and just right there in the Caribbean, they know so much about Africa, like Nigerian music and the rest of African culture. Who the decendants of slaves offend sef. Y'all keep crying "Black Life Matters" till Jesus comes. Retards!
True that & a lot of them even practice some of our culture/ tradition till date... I believe the early European settlers & slave masters brainwashed African Americans over the centuries & eventually they lost their identity & origin along the line while adopting the new world & finding a place to fit in.

Can you blame them though?
They only have access to what the media feeds them via CNN and movies.
Same way we're misinformed about a lot of countries too no thanks to media misrepresentations for their sinister interests.

So instead of venting it out on the receiver/audience/listeners, blame it on the media.
We need to start holding news agencies and the press accountable for distorting and perverting the truth.

Yes, indeed. There are still some of them who believe Africa is a country and there is always war going on there all the time.

They are so right , Nigerians have money to attend shows and afford luxuries but so much suffering in the land

So because some people are suffering other Nigerians should not enjoy their lives? Your logic is twisted. In America, 50,000 people are shot dead each year. The equivalent of 50 Boko Harams on the loose.

That hasn't stopped them from balling.

To be honest I have live and seen it all with the black Americans.

Majority of them are still what we are back here in Nigeria.

You hardly see them moving forward... they have all the negatives ... dropping out of school... hooliganism... day dreaming always hiding under the shadow of victimization.... and they are also self centred really nothing really about them. Go to every area with majority blacks in the US compare the level of individual mental state... it is still nothing to write about.

You are not serious. That dunce who typed that crap cannot locate Nigeria on a map if you paid him. He has no clue what he's talking about. he just assumes that because Nigeria is in Africa, he can make his assumptions. If you ask him how many universities we have in Nigeria he will probably ask, ''You have universities in Nigeria?''

I completely agree with those comments on that American forum! Nigeria has the largest population of Internally displaced people in the world! Nigeria is also the hotbed of the lassa fever epidemic. Nowhere in the mass media or popular culture here in Nigeria will you see Nigerian charities canvassing for aid or charity for their fellow suffering and hungry Nigerians. Instead what we have is Foreigners begging on our behalf for people to come to the aid of our brothers and sisters in distress! The very stupid Nigerian Youth is more concerned about arguing Nigerian/Ghanian jollof with CNNs Richard Quest or criticising Chimamandas views on feminism or donating money with votes for their favourite housemates on BBN. I can only imagine how outraged these Americans are seeing Nigerians paying top dollar to see a washed up Jcole perform in Lagos when our IDPs are still clamouring for food!
Its a catastrophe!!!!

sinkhole:
If I am an American who visits Nairaland I think I will be forced to think that:
1) the whole of Ibadan is a shanty town
2) there is no single western educated person in the northern part of Nigeria
3) the whole of eastern part is full of drug barons (I watched a Jamaican movie where a Nigerian drug baron is depicted as an Igbo guy, ironically, with Yoruba bodyguards!).

Kudos bro. This is the best comment I have seen on this thread. Many here are blaming buhari as though it all started toady.
This simply, is a reflection of what we post on social media because of tribalism, religious and political hatred, forgeting that the whole world is seeing it.

Tomorrow, they will use more of our posts and comments against us, maybe then, we would look for someone else to blame.
