I completely agree with those comments on that American forum! Nigeria has the largest population of Internally displaced people in the world! Nigeria is also the hotbed of the lassa fever epidemic. Nowhere in the mass media or popular culture here in Nigeria will you see Nigerian charities canvassing for aid or charity for their fellow suffering and hungry Nigerians. Instead what we have is Foreigners begging on our behalf for people to come to the aid of our brothers and sisters in distress! The very stupid Nigerian Youth is more concerned about arguing Nigerian/Ghanian jollof with CNNs Richard Quest or criticising Chimamandas views on feminism or donating money with votes for their favourite housemates on BBN.
