Flags line the White House driveway, as welcoming ceremony about to get under way for Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari. Reminder that German Chancellor Angela Merkel's reception last week in same spot did not have any military honors in the driveway.

The German Chancellor is the head of Government, just like PMB, Emanuelle Marcon, Teressa May and they all have the same diplomatic reference.


Angela Merkel is the head of the German government and the fact that we have a presidential system of government doesn't mean our president is above or more important than a prime minister.

This is because she reports to president and the both work in hand! Yes the chancellor or the prime minister in parliamentary rule is the head of government and she forms her government and reports to the head of state which happens to be either the president or the Queen ( as in United kingdom) or whoever is the head in the country.
