Macron is actually the president of France, that was an error and a mix up with the German leader.

Even sef, after independence, we had a president/ZIK and a prime minister/Tafa Balewa, but ZIK was a nobody, he was just a worthless figurehead while Tafa Balewa as the Prime minister jets around the world representing Nigeria and meeting heads of state even JFK at the White House.

So, where was ZIK as the president of Nigeria?


Presidents under parliamentary governments are figureheads, the prime ministers are in charge and they represent their countries diplomatically as heads of government.

In Germany, the Chancellor who is Angela Merkel is the head of government but Germany has a separate President who is Frank-Walter Steinmeier....they have a similar system to the British...this might explain the difference in their reception...not too sure
