The German Chancellor is the head of Government, just like PMB, Emanuel Macron, Teressa May and they all have the same diplomatic reference.


Angela Merkel is the head of the German government and the fact that we have a presidential system of government doesn't mean our president is above or more important than a prime minister.


It's like saying Teressa May of England is below PMB per diplomatic scale.
