Thanos has emotions which makes him a fantastic villain, in this scene, you can see the respect in his eyes for Captain America, he could probably read capt's mind with the mind stone and he saw that capt was just a regular guy with so much strength. He respects some of the avengers.

This is actually actually the scene that shows how Thanos will be killed in the next avengers. Can you see she had to give her approval before anything happened. The Avengers are going to have to reach the most emotional part of Thanos that he can never let go to destroy him and release the souls of the trapped avengers and humans... Gamora is the key!

-Also had to kill many people that he had grown to respect over the course of him gathering the stones
-But he looks at the sunset and feels accomplished, knowing that even though the toll was heavy, he did the right thing.

This is usually a DC thing but Marvel played it well.

I don't think so. Thanos won't be killed easily. notice when Samuel L Jackson was disintegrating he was paging someone? That's Captain Marvel, she's a human pilot that had the blood of a powerful alien race infused in her which gives her powers one can only imagine. The blood of the Mar-vell. She then has power of flight and energy manipulation, which means the infinity stones power will be limited against her. She can see through its reality manipulation and even use the power against Thanos. She's one of the few marvel superheroes to defeat Thanos in combat. A captain marvel film will be realized and the timeline is between Infinity wars and Avengers 4. Which means she won't be affected by Thanos purge of the universe.

Captain Marvel movie is an origin story that takes place in the 90s. It's a time piece. Two movies are coming out before Avengers 4 and they both happen chronologically before Infinity war.
