Help - My Car Gear Won't Shift Until I Remove My Leg on Gas Pedal by Borntorule2018(op): 7:43am On May 07, 2018

I have a Toyota Camry 1996, popularly known as orobo
I have been using this car for more than 1 year before this issue start.
The car won't shift gear except when I accelerate and then remove my leg from the gas pedal and the gear will change immediately.
if I keep accelerating without removing my leg from the gas pedal, the gear won't change.
please what can be the cause.
I need suggestion....

kickdown shift cable might need some adjustment.

simple job..... want to change thermostart and service radiator fan.

Turns out the temperature coolant sensor (engine oil temperature sensor in reality) not sending data to car computer/fan. engine oil overheat and in turn boils water in the reservoir tank.

simple remove and replace. also bought the wrong sensor grin

original one below.............if your car is always overheating for no reason ehn that is de culprit and not thermostat. Thermostat is good for ur vehicle.
