Point of correction. Samsung s9 & s9+ were released on the 8th of march and not late March.

Come second quarter the result will not be different. Till date, Samsung has not sold 1 million copies of those phones.

No OEM can take away the sales of Apple flagships. They make phones more suited with the social media, entertainment market. Others can only try...

U are missing the point here. They are talking about first quarter of 2018 which is from January to April 2018. Check sales between May and September tell us which phone sells the most. Galacy s8 and s8 plus were released in April 2017 and it's the most selling of Samsung phones. It sold from April till September and then it's natural it falls while the iPhone x which was released in October takes over. Galacy s9 was released in March 2018 and it sold 8 millions units in 1 month while iPhones sold 12 million units between January and April. Now think about that. And then tell me which phone u think will sell more in the second quarter especially now that iPhone 8 and x are nearing then end sales cycle until the next iPhone is released. And just so u know Samsung sold 41 million units of galaxy s8 and s8 plus.

There's never been a time a Samsung flagship sold more than an iPhone. Samsung is the biggest phone maker cos 60% of its sales are the mid range and budget phones.


An iPhone 7 of 2016 still sold more than s8 and note 8, still sold more than s9+ (which will record its biggest sales in the first few months). Take that for data...

Exactly my point. Samsung flagship cannot sell more than iPhones, NEVER. And there's a good reason for that.

Apple make only premium phones, they own their os, so if u like iOS u got to buy an iPhone, no any other choice. Samsung on the other hand use Android, if u want a premium Android phone then there are many OEM's to choose from. Samsung compete with Google pixel, Huawei, HTC, OnePlus, LG, Sony, etc in the premium flagship phone category. So for the fact that Samsung is going neck to neck with apple in flagship phones sales tells u a lot. And don't forget there are many flagship killers out there now that sell for $500 and can stand toe to toe with an $800 Samsung flagship phone. It's a very cumbersome market for Android while apple are having it easy with iOS.

This is a company that sold 41 million units of galaxy s8 and s8 plus. Anyway sorry to break ur bubbles but Samsung sold 8 millions units of s9 and s9 plus in the first month of it's release (that's between March and April). That's not up to 12 million sold by Apple between January and April but u sef check the difference. Apple sold 12 million units in 4 months, Samsung sold 8 millions in 1 month.

And why do u act like u don't know all these devices have their seasons? iPhone x was released in October 2017, that's after galacy s8 had already sold almost 40 million units. In the second quarter of 2018 Samsung will top the chat as iPhone x would had reached it's peak sales and people will start waiting till September for another iPhone launch, by then the s9 would dominate the market and then Samsung will release the note 9. Trust me between May and September Samsung will top chat sales until a new iPhone is released in September and the cycle will continue.

I'm not a fan boy, just stating the facts. There's no way apple will sell more phones than Samsung. There's a reason Samsung is the biggest phone maker in the world.

The over 8 million units of sales you posted up there is not actual sales but estimates and forecast. Officially, Samsung new flagship phone are yet yet to clock 1 million units in sales.
