cry cry cry I am in tears cause a dear family friend of mine just lost their dad today cause 1st bank Nigeria refused to release my money to be transferred to their account to pay for their fathers surgery, and it was even an internal transfer, it was a exactly 3:16pm when I was coming from lagos island approaching oshodi, and if you know where I am coming from you will know that 1st bank is away from my traffic, so I had to take the risk of parking my car at oshodi, took a bike to the closest 1st bank to make a transfer where a form was given to me, I filled in all the details required of me, the young boy who took the filled form from me was nice, and had good customer relationship, but after a while he called on me, and at this time the receiving end was waiting at the bank to get the money get to the hospital to make the payment, so when he did he wanted to see my face which I showed him, it took him a while, later he said that I not looking the I looked when I opened my account, and he might have a problem to pay me, he took the form to the head teller their and the person just told him not to pay me, and told them to check on the signature which is mine, and that they can ask me any questions about the account that I know them by heart, and that they should even try the phone number on the account, and that it will ring and I will pick it up right in his presence, but he was not listening to all that, so I asked for their operations so I could talk to her, but she was worse.
Now I am bitter cause I lost a dear one, but not just that I also am bitter cause of the response I got from her, cause I have been with first bank for over 10years and I know that they have good customer care relationship, but people like the lady I meet at 1st bank oshodi is a person that can give bad reputation to a bank like first bank to a first timer, for christ sake she is head of operations and she works in a bank, where people save their money, and not where they give out money to beggars, first she is a gender racist, and she Could also be a sad lonely woman, but if married may be childless.
I got into her office greeted her, she was
Sitting there with a woman who I know is not a 1st bank staff, and they were obviously gossip in their native language which I am pretty sure is ibo, after explaining to her, telling her what the money was for,and how someone is waiting at the bank to receive the money to save a life, she was dumb to it all, that I even called a fellow banker in ikotun first bank whom I very close to, and she did not speak to him she asked the banker to send her an email before he will do anything about it, what really got me vexed was she showed my information to the non staff sitting with her, and they were both laughing and saying things in native language like an today we dey see this kind thing, that I might be using resembles to collect my own money from they, and may later come back and say it's not me, for what reasons, have that issue come up with my account before??

As I saw she was not will to pay me the sum of 850k I brought out my atm and asked the security man where I could do POS transfer which will be at least 500k I was asked to go to the same floor and they said it was not working, and at this time it was 03:57pm so I had to call the friend and told him everything. The friend felt I didn't want
Help the dying father who eventually died about 9mins before I started writing this.

I joined the ATM long line did a transfer of 200k and took 150k to go in and pay into the account, the security said head of operations told them not to let me back in...... now who killed my mentor??9 cry cry
,,
.
cry cry

Don't have passport on the bank details, but will leave you with a picture of me right now, and I pray this gets to first bank so the photos will be compared to see if any reasonable person will not let it pass after all the evidence I had on me.

Lalastica, Mynd44, Seun

Please help take this to front page, let it go viral and let them have the Woman and First Bank reprimanded.

@OP the Lord is your strength Heaven sees your heart that you tried to help. You have done well and I pray the Family the strength to understand and bear the loss.

All will be well.

Be objective and read the post. He was trying to transfer 850k as against the 100k limit on mobile transfer and we do not not maybe he is on KYC level-1, levels-2 or 3. His best bet was an across the counter transfer and he could not have expected the challenges he faced. At times like this, your mind is pacing and he finally resorted to it within the limit he could transfer.

He did his best.

And so?!
Firstmobile can transfer up to a million, and first online 10million naira at a go.

Why is the Op still practicing archaic banking?

Sorry about your loss tho bro
