The Ivory coast issue was clearly an error. I intended saying Burkina Faso was formerly Upper Volta. But even at that, Ivory coast is now Côte d'Ivoire.

Please it isn't omo oba.. it is omo n'oba (omo nor oba) which simply means a child who is born king because the throne is hereditary. Bini's next two kings are already born, even though the people haven't got to see them.

omo is Yoruba for child, omode or omokekere is small child. Omomo is baby. All the Yoruba word concerning child has omo attach to it unlike edo word that has Oviedo, ibieka, ovokhan so I don’t think it’s yoruba that borrow the word but u coz u also have other words for it.

bla bla another lie by the professional liar davidnaze nupe ruled for 1000 years how old is oyo itself. Nupe fought oyo when it was still a relative small kingdom after oramiyan left and occupied it for 73 years but oyo came back stronger defeated them took the nupe land and chase them up north and oyo emerged as an empire with other kingdom paying tribute to it.
