You don't have to be confuse, just reply cic saying you have submitted your medical receipt, try and attach the receipt as well(I am sure it has been sent already by the clinic). As for the dispatch mail, just keep checking your cic account for update(hopefully approval > passport/trv collection)

Austinpee4:

You do not need to write stories in your purpose statement. An overview of key points would give inclinations to a purposeful decision to study in Canada than situational.

Your key points should be:
- The aim of pursuing your program.

-Reason for choosing the program, institution and country( do not generalize. Give a precise reason or two. An officer will weigh these reasons against the option of studying in Nigeria)

- How you have prepared for the program.(Past experience, education. It should be in sync or relative to your intended program)

- How you intend to apply the knowledge gained from the program.( Again, do not generalise. Give a realistic plan and strategy. They should be within your ability. It is believable when they are)

-Your short and long term goal(s)- (Identify a specific problem and a possible solution that would require a process from completing your intending program for your long term goal. Your short term goal can be an obvious one and specific to something already existing)

- A strong concluding statement.

Truth is, there is no rule of thump on writing a purposeful statement. How you express yourself should be objective, realistic and devour of fairy tales or make believe stories. They won't impress an officer. Also take note that they are looking out for your values and other things you are bringing to their Country.

Officers know majority of students especially Nigerians are not likely to return after study. They have statistics already. Keep your stories real, achievable and drawn largely from that which you have found interest in,
your passion.

Regards.

A well written treatise on what you intend to study and how that can be translated back to Nigeria as relates to your employment prospects—backed with some evidence, should take care of business here. What you write contrary to Austinpee4 stated earlier, counts and decisions are made based on it. It counts only if it’s backed with evidence. You cannot be making blanket sentence anywhere and be believed. You have to back your SOP with evidence if you expect to be taken seriously. Only my five cents! Best of luck!

Please i need your help, can i send you a mail?

Very true! Truly a walk in and out. Why is Lagos having a big crowd and people experiencing nightmares just to file an application? Lagos makes no sense, why do people even live there I don’t understand. Austinpee4 people, lol, don’t come attacking me, just transmigrate to Abuja or file online from the comforts of your home.

Yes you can. But no SOP vetting please, cos I ain’t got time and SOP vetting is work. Can answer general question and give advice offline if it’s private, otherwise state your question here.

Thank you.
So in conclusion, the child needs to apply for a study permit and not visitors visa?
And you are certain of this?
What if the child goes to Canad with a visitor visa and since he is already in Canada, now applies for study permit,
which he may not need at that point anyway? Is this legal?

HiSignature:
Accompanying kids are to apply for study permit as well if they intend to study.

Admission to designated institution is not compulsory. If you plan enrolling them in a government school(elementary/high school), i can assure you that you can not secure an admission for the kids unless they get into Canada. Even most private schools wont grant admission to kids without showing study permit/visa approval.

""Scenarios
Applying from overseas
The study permit exemption for minor children pursuant to subsection 30(2) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) applies when a minor child is already in Canada.

Visa offices processing temporary residence applications made outside Canada by minor children who want to study in Canada should consider them as students and not as visitors, even when they are accompanying a parent who is authorized to either work or study in Canada. In other words, a study permit is required, unless they are exempt from requiring one pursuant to section R188.""

Yes I do have the marriage cert - thanks for the info and concern bro.

@mcobex - the visiting visa for family, can this be applied for after TRV approval, before
principal applicant leaves for Canada? If yes, would the application indicate that it is a short
visit or one intended to be converted in Canada. Pls clarify

Yeah I do 3 countries .

I understand they will have to grab your immigration files from those three countries and run checks on you. That takes time.

I did here at 28,500 naira. But you need to go there very early before 8am.
Address: The Childrens Practice and the Consultants Practice,

Telephone: (234) 146 119 41, +234-7065859845

Please guys how long does biometrics take to be updated? I did mine since 22nd of last month but still showing action required in my account. Should I go and repeat the capturing? Just wondering because in the biometrics letter it was stated that if you don't capture within 30 days of the letter then your application will be refused and I got the letter on the 19th of April.
