13 STRICTLY Forbidden in The Bible but we DO It Still We know the bible can be pretty difficult to accurately interpret. Some people say the Old Testament laws don’t count anymore, but others think they still do. So we are asking the bible scholars for help here. We gathered some actions the bible bans both in the old and New Testaments and we’d like to know, are they still sins or not? 1. Checking babes out. Matthew 5:28: “But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” 2. Braiding your hair. 1 Timothy 2:9: “Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly garments.” 3. Owning expensive outfits. 1 Timothy 2:9: “Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly garments.” 4. Wearing gold. 1 Timothy 2:9: “Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly garments.” 5. Eating Bacon or Sausages. Leviticus 11:4 reads: “Nevertheless these shall ye not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the hoof: as the camel, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.” 6. Wearing fabric blends, so basically everything in your wardrobe. Leviticus 19:19: “You are to keep My statutes. You shall not breed together two kinds of your cattle; you shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed, nor wear a garment upon you of two kinds of material mixed together.” 7. Gossiping about your colleagues. Leviticus 19:16: “Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbor; I am the LORD.” 8. Women speaking in church. 1 Corinthians 14:34: “Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.” 9. Trimming your beard. Leviticus 19:27: “Neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard.” 10. Eating suya; well, the fat. Leviticus 3:17: “It shall be a perpetual statute for your generations throughout all your dwellings, that ye eat neither fat nor blood.” 11. Tattoos; Sorry, not even one of a cross or a bible verse. Leviticus 19:28: “Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.” 12. Eating more than you have to. Proverbs 23:2: “. . . And put a knife to your throat if you are given to gluttony.” 13..Ma_sturbating 1 Corinthians 6:18 reads: “Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.” 14.Getting remarried after getting divorced “Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery.” 14.Working on Saturday Exodus 31:14–15 reads: “Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.” So were these laws specific to that time or do you think they still count? drop your comments below. |

Everyone was guilty of not keeping this holy standard of God. This is why God was merciful enough to introduce us to His grace. Stop looking at this laws anymore and start looking at grace( Jesus). Grace is our "only" foundation. |

bloodofthelamb: Lol The hypocrisy in Christianity is sickening. You chose the laws to obey, discard the rest; then, give cliche excuses like the one above. If this laws are not valid anymore, why add it to the bible ? I bet if it was about tithe or homosexuality, you will bring out one verse and swear on it. Confusion is the trademark of Christianity and religion in general. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

sKeetz: The law is our "school master" that led us to grace. Even though, we sincerely want to obey it. We cannot. We were born transgressors. From our mother's "womb" we have gone astray. This was everyone condition before Christ came in the flesh. Tell me, can you make a law to prohibit birds from taking flight? Do you think they(birds) will be able to obey it? Considering the fact that it is there very nature and life to fly? Sinning was a way of life for all of humalnity because it was our very nature. God knew this. The solution is not more laws but a new nature, which God wrought in those that believe through Jesus. 2 Likes |

bloodofthelamb: you believe sin is part of human nature yet you worship a god that threatens to roast it's creatures in a lake of fire for eternity for something they are born with and have no control over. 1 Like 1 Share |

We are no longer under law but under grace |

sKeetz: Don't you understand? God want to give you a new nature devoid of sin. God want you and I to have his nature of righteousness free of charge. But so many has rejected and is still rejecting his glorious offer. God does not want anyone to be destroyed forever in the lake of fire. But if you refuse to change by rejecting the "nature" God is giving through Christ, you will have no one to blame but yourself. |

bloodofthelamb: If God really wants to save anyone, he wouldn't attach conditions, after all he is omnipotent and it doesn't remove anything from him. People reject him cause he has not provided proof for his existence. An omnipotent, omni scient God wouldn't need you to vouch for his existence; he would make himself known to all and sundry in the same manner. By so doing, it will make it easier for everybody to believe and accept him. If God was legit, there wouldn't be contradictory tales on who he is and how to worship him. It will be the same across all boarders, nationality, race and culture. The truth doesn't have different versions, it's always the same everywhere you go. One plus one is two in india, the same in the North Pole and everywhere on earth. It's always the same no matter where you go or no matter what test its put through. 1 Like 1 Share |

sKeetz: I am His ambassador. He sent me down here to represent Him. If you reject my message, you rejected not my message but His. I speak for God and sincerely ask you to make peace with God through Jesus Christ. |
Re: 13 STRICTLY Forbidden In The Bible But We DO It Still by sKeetz(m): 1:32pm On May 13, 2018 |
bloodofthelamb: Like I said, an omnipotent God wouldn't need an ambassador to act as an intermediary between him and his creation; he has infinite powers and he is everywhere. The concept of ambassadorship or representatives is a human invention. |

sKeetz: You are like a prodigal son who is lost and his Father sent his servants to bring him back. The foolish prodigal son refused to be brought back home, simply because, the Father did not come by himself. Is it not foolishness? Moreover, a sinner cannot come into the holy presence of God without death visiting him. You have to be washed and made holy by the "blood of the lamb" before you can see God |

bloodofthelamb: First of all, I don't know this father...I have not seen him or even heard him speak to him so why would I listen to his so called servants. If he wants me to return so badly, what would it cost him to show up himself? Don't forget that this so called father has unlimited power and is everywhere at the same time. He used to visit Adam in the fabled garden of Eden, I don't know what's changed. |
