Al-Makura has declared Kayode Fayemi as the winner of the Ekiti governorship primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC). "In accordance with the constitution of the APC, I Tanko Al-Makura, the returning officer of the APC primary election in Ekiti, do hereby declare John Kayode Fayemi, having scored the highest number of votes and having satisfied the required guidelines, the winner of the APC governorship primary election."

"I will support Fayemi and encourage others to support him. I have no intentions of leaving the party," says Segun Oni.

But now power has changed hands "Federal Might" is fully behind fayemi.

Every indigene of ekiti knew fayose winning the last election was rigged by PDP and the FG fayemi would have been the Gov then but he was rigged out.

If Segun Oni like, make he gather the whole Ifaki support Fayemi, as far as it's not him (Segun Oni) is the official flag bearer, no body will listen to him.

Fayemi will be disgraced! Fayose is popular in Ekiti because of his closeness to the people and that was why he came back in 2014 and won 3 past Governors at a go.

No Federal might will save Fayemi... Fayemi now shouting "oshaprapra" lol... He wants to adopt Fayose's style. One thing about Fayose is that, he doesn't pretend. We all know that his "oshaprapra" style won't last.

Fayose has only defeated two sitting Governors and the funniest thing is that he has never won an election without Federal backing. If he could do he would have won Ojodu in the Senate election, same Federal power that made things happen four years ago is still around so let's just keep our fingers crossed.

Fayemi was a sitting governor whilst Chief Segun Oni and Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo were past governors all combined to fight Fayose BUT he still won.

As for the Senate election against Ojudu... If you were informed enough, you would be aware the fact behind it.

Joke apart my brother, Fayose remains the choice of Ekiti people. Chief Segun Oni is from my Local Government so I prefer him anytime anyday but since he lost to Fayemi, I'm joining the winning team (Fayose/Eleka).

As for the Federal might, we're expecting the money o brother.... If dem like, make dem withdraw all the military in Borno bring dem come Ekiti, we won't be forced to vote for anybody.

Yes I am, Aramoko/Ekiti West to be precise. As Ekiti people our greatest attribute is our ability to be honest without fear or favour. Do you have any member of your family in the civil service? if you do you'll know what has happened with salaries and that's the deciding factor for me because if not for the grace of God and a good family my Aunty/Uncle and their family would have died as a result of hunger.

During this period I've also seen what the Fayose boys have done with money so supporting him or any of his cronies won't work for me. Btw if it was impossible to fight federal power four years ago I wonder how easy it will be this year's end.

how come fayemi contested the APC primaries without first resigning from his post as minister? this will in future bring trouble and lead to many court cases....someone in the same party, infact who failed this primaries will raise the issue tomorow...i hope all the SAN and lawyers are aware of this
