Ojukwu died a hero!!! For those screaming he ran away, I won't blame una, y'all are probably ignorant of history, war and what it entails, ojukwu was betrayed he had to go for exile out of bitterness and agony, however if you understand war you will know that it's a big shame n heavier fall for the head warrior to be captured dead or alive most especially alive (Adolf Hitler n others as case study), imagine what would have been the fate of the great igbos if ikemba was captured. He who fights and run away lives to fight another day.. As for Nnamdi kanu's case, my instinct tells me that man will shock the world soon. I believe he's somewhere preparing and Reenforcing for a heavy comeback. |

chuksanambra:Ojukwu never collected any pension till his death. It's was after his death that he was paid his pension, along with all other igbo soldiers who were previously under the Nigerian govt. You are not igbo. If u were igbo, u would have understood what ojukwu fought for even though he was not perfect. Igbos were being killed all over the country. the country failed in its basic duty - protection of all lives and property. The real coward is not ojukwu, the real cowards are people like u. Today Fulani herdsmen have killed more people in middle-belt than the igbos that were killed which caused the war. So who's the fool and coward. What could be more cowardly than watching your people die while still crying for empathy from the FG? What could be more foolish than laughing at a man who predicted your annihilation a year earlier? Well guess who's laughing now Nigeria, guess who's laughing. |

KidsNEXTdoor:sum up the number of casualties from Fulani herdsmen and ethnic clashes in the southwest since 1960 is definitely not up to 50,000 yorubas. your hero sacrificed over a million ibos over a phantom Biafra dream that didn't come to pass. war is not always the answer. war should only be fought when it's unavoidable!!! yorubas avoided the war as much as possible and we don't regret our decision. |

Afonjas are just pained because they don't have a hero figure. Their two wannabe heroes (abiola & awolowo) both died of poison/rat poison - such a pathetic & wussy way to go. |

Jaideyone:You are not fighting any war yet 50,000 of your people have been killed just like that. OMG ur cowardice is legendary, you bring a new definition to the word coward |

These people that say Ojukwu ran away, most of them have never fought a war for independence for 3 years like Ojukwu did But what makes me laugh is that they actually think Ojukwu should have presented himself to his enemies to be slaughtered. What kind of person will see his enemies about to surround and kill him but stay back to slaughtered? Only a very foolish man will do such a thing |
| Re: Ojukwu Addressing A Press Conference During The Civil War (Throwback Photo) by Jaideyone(m): 1:03pm On May 14, 2018 |
oluwaahmed:avoiding war is cowardice? your bravery cost you 1million civilian casualties and my cowardice cost me 50,000 yet we are still in the same situation infact you are crying marginalisation day and night the joke is on you |

oluwaahmed:I'm not Igbo because I don't share your foolishness? I guess Zik of Africa is also not Igbo because he didn't agree with Ojukwu's foolishness. Ojukwu fought Nigeria but his wife came back to collect ambassadorial position to represent Nigeria overseas. Anyone who died for Biafra after the civil war ended died for nothing. 3M Igbos have died, it's the turn of his children. |

Nigerian youths and stupidity. The British people will be laughing at the stupidity of current generation of Nigerian youth for not being smart and forever foolish. The Biafran war was Biafra-British war for the control of the large deposit of oil and gas in the present-day Niger Delta region of Nigeria. The British people want free and easy access to these resources while the biafrans will be an obstacle to this unrestricted access. So the British, using fellow black men as footsoldiers, had to punish the biafrans for their 'selfishness' and zeal to control and manage their resources. Without oil and gas in Nigeria, there will be no Biafran war. Igbos, Yorubas, Hausas, etc, should stop fighting themselves while the real enemies are laughing at them. |
