magicminister: THIS WAS THE SAME PRICE OIL WAS WHEN OKONJO-IWEALA WAS TELLING US TO BRACE FOR TOUGHER TIMES AHEAD AND STARTED BORROWING TO PAY SALARIES. THE SAME CAPITAL PROJECTS JONATHAN INVESTED IN WHEN OIL ROSE TO $130. IF BOKO HARAM SHOULD OVERRUN MAIDUGURI, ABUJA OR EVEN YOUR VILLAGE, WOULD YOU STILL BE TALKING ABOUT INFRASTRUCTURE? AND YOU WILL STILL BE BLAMING BUHARI FOR IT. THE SAME WORLD CLASS HOSPITALS AND WORLD CLASS UNIVERSITY THAT JONATHAN USEDTHE OIL WINDFALL AT OVER $100 FOR OVER 4 YEARS BUILT. SO BUYING MILITARY AIRCRAFT IS A WASTE? THAT MEANS ALL COUNTRY'S THAT BUYS MILITARY AIRCRAFTS ARE WASTING THEIR MONEY. ARE YOU AWARE THAT OUR NEIGHBOURING COUNTRIES HAS ALSO BE " WASTING" MONEY BUYING MILITARY AIRCRAFTS. I'LL EQUIPPED TERRORISTS GROUP THAT WAS ABLE TO CAPTURE OVER 14 LOCAL GOVERNMENTS UNDER YOUR HERO AND MADE YOUR HERO DREAD GOING TO THE NORTH EAST NOT TO TALK OF SAMBISA FOREST. |

LMAO The decline of american power and influence is now on autopilot. Their sanctions, tricks, manipulations and schemes are no longer working. By the time the Russians & Chinese completely destroy the petrodollar, they would be humbled. FAREWELL OCCIDENT, HELLO ORIENT! Clemostica: |

But foreign reserves won't rise proportionately. |
| Re: Crude Oil Prices Race To $80 by aribisala0(m): 8:57am On May 15, 2018 |
Moghalu4Pres:What is the relevance of foreign reserves to this topic. |
| Re: Crude Oil Prices Race To $80 by wirinet(m): 8:57am On May 15, 2018 |
Moghalu4Pres:Why won't it rise proportionately? Foreign reserves has been rising proportionately since oil has started picking up and has risen to be one of the highest in Africa. |

It's of no good as long as we keep importing and subsidising fuel! ![]() Subsidy will increase, likewise bunkering and corrupt practices. Too bad!! |

| Re: Crude Oil Prices Race To $80 by Moghalu4Pres: 10:00am On May 15, 2018 |
More dollars more reserves. To have gone from $27 to $80, the reserves should have exceeded at least $70 bn by now. Algeria has reserves of more than $100bn. Understand better? aribisala0: |

Even if its $200 to a barrel cost of PMS would only go up in Nigeria. F*cking minister for Petroleum |
| Re: Crude Oil Prices Race To $80 by SternProphet: 10:14am On May 15, 2018 |
magicminister:Before the crude oil prices started rallying, the A PC government had already started building infrastructure, diversifying to agriculture and helping the poor. If you are a young lazy guy in the city spending your time on social media you won't see it. This government is for farmers, engineers, builders, scientists not for urban dwelling dummies. Everything you have posted in capital letters here were already being done whenmoil was $45 A barrel. I don't know what you thought Buhari was, some corrupt weak amateur too grateful to be in Aso Rock like GEJ? Please keep your eyes focussed and your brains working by early 2019 you will gnash your teeth as a PEP supporter wgphwn you see how a govt should work |

| Re: Crude Oil Prices Race To $80 by aribisala0(m): 10:24am On May 15, 2018 |
Moghalu4Pres:You have no clue. Reserves are not savings. In fact they are not government funds. Do not be misled by the word "reserve" It is sad people continue to make this foolish error and feel smug about it Foreign reserves are CBN funds they are NOT government funds. Oil revenues are government funds. The interaction between oil revenues and foreign reserves is very complex indeed and not a linear relationship Oil revenue increase may lead to an increase in Excess crude funds which are nothing to do foreign reserves. Bringing Algeria into the discussion does not bring clarity but quite the oposite rather. Increased oil revenues lead to increase government revenues( fiscal territory) not increased foreign reserves (monetary territory0 The finances of the CBN and the government have NO CONNECTION whatsoever. |

Only you mad people did not notice that dollar was 216 when he took over and now it's #360. Only you mad people did not notice that fuel was #83 per litre when he took over power now it's #143. Only you mad people did not notice that a bag of rice was #9,000 when he took over now it's #16,000 Only you mad people did not notice that 9 millions jobs were lost in three years. Only you and people did not observe the sudden impunity to which herdsmen started exhibiting in killing people and till date no single one of them has been jailed. Only you mad people did not notice that he has borrowed more than any government in the history of this country, fully implemented TSA, passed the highest budget, yet the infrastructures on ground are not in tandem with the heavy funds. Only you mad people did not relealize the flaggrant abuse of rule of law and due process thus making it look like the constitution has been suspended. Only you mad people did not realize that Babachir lawal who was suspended is yet to be invited by the EFCC for questioning. Only you mad people did not realize that the fourth deadliest killer group globaly ranked is to yet to be proscribed and decleared a terrorist group. |

SternProphet:Name one project that has been started and finished by the Buhari’s admin since his start of office? The sad thing is that when hitherto supporters express disillusionment, they are tagged “wailers” or even worse. See how condescending you were in your comment. The anonymity that nairaland provides should not make one act without decorum. My brother, we are all on the same side. We want what’s best for Nigeria. If I complain, it’s only because I know that we are not maximizing our potential. This isn’t about Jonathan or pdp vs apc. This is about saving Nigeria. 2018 and we still don’t have electricity, look at the mayhem and the increased killings. These are issues that I know any serious government can fix within 4 years! Buhari won the election largely because we believed he was going to kill corruption but just look at what is going on? Not a single high profile conviction, maina scandal and so much more! We should be honest enough to admit that this isn’t what we voted for! |

wirinet:There was no Fulani herdsmen and senseless killings there,we saw developments, but now we only hear of fighting corruption and security, but the killing s are increasing? What's the money been borrowed used for? |
| Re: Crude Oil Prices Race To $80 by wirinet(m): 9:34pm On May 15, 2018 |
HIGHESTPOPORI:Attacks by Fulani herdsmen during Jonathan's tenure; 1. February 2013 Fulani Attacked Agatu burning Inoli, Ologba, olegeje, olegogboche, olegede, Adana, Inminy and Abugbe communities. Many lives lost.So where are the developments, did Jonathan carry the developments with him to Otuoke? We still see developments left behind by the British since independence. |
