Okay,

Hubby wanted us to do a new bed for all the rooms and he asked me the type we should do for children's room and i told him kids bed(Those fancy ones grin). He didnt accept my opinion because he said that means we would be changing bed everytime they grow that its better we put normal adult bed and decorate the room with different color. I accepted and told him that he can go ahead but when i come back fully to naija, i will re-decorate their room to what i really like. Now, i am thinking again that it seems hubby suggestion may be good and he is thinking about future apart from me that want to do slay mama to our house and children's room. What do you think?

Is hubby idea right on doing normal bed so that we wont waste money as they grow?
Am i wrong about the fancy thing i like?
Do i need to waste money on redesigning when i come back?

Mama, please advice me on my this matter mbok. Although its not something serious but i think we all can learn one or two things from this.

She loves the normal adult peak milk we use at home which I started giving her since she turned one. she was just never a fan of formular or peak123. She even takes nutribom cereals well which makes me so happy cuz they are cheap. Her Gerber phase was not Ijebu friendly.

Lol!.. We still v 5months to go before she turns one. Let me patiently wait.

Pls maam,my babhy is 7wksCan i continu to use abidec for my baby?am on secend bottle..pls urgnt answer, and is dere fake abidec,i discover d first bottle is yellow and thick why ds pressent one s lite.

Why are you using abidec?
Was it prescibed by your doctor or your mummies?

To the best of my knowledge, its not necessary. All the nutrients your baby needs for now is contained in your breastmilk. Feed your baby well. Maintain good hygiene and you will see your baby grow healthy and happy.

On the two kinds of abidec, there is the imported and made in naija version. The imported one is quite expensive and you will usually get in big pharmacy shops while the naija version sells for about #300.
I've not had cause to use it so I cant comment on the quality of the content.

Cheers.

Why are you using abidec in the first place?
As long as your child is breastfed, he gets all nutrients.
Is the child eating well? Then there's no need for multivitamins.

You can try prune juice.
I'm a bit skeptical about the oats cos of his age. His belly might not be ready to take that kind of heavy solid yet.

If space is not a constraint, adult bed is not a bad idea. You can customize the headboard and footboard to complement the room design.
The funniest thing is that over the years say 10/15yrs, you may even get bored with what you have in your house and do a makeover all over again.

That's what one very fat baby with us uses, although he's losing weight now cos I ration his food, struck all his sugar out and make him walk around and not sit all day like he loves too.

He he he @ slay mama!

I agree with Oga oh!
Whilst it's nice to have child bed, it means you have to change it at least a couple of times as they grow! From cot bed to toddler bed, to junior bed, before you graduate to normal length bed, either single or double!

Who gats time for that! 1 good bed frame will last a life time, and a very good mattress should last about 8 yrs before you need to change it.

Your options could be to go for a normal single bed so they can have their own territories especially if they are sharing a room.
And also all those fancy character bedsheets are easier to find in single bed sizes.

You can do bunk beds? Also in single size especially if the room is a bit small.

You can do a double bed if they have separate rooms at least that way if say grandma or other guests come around and there is no extra spare room, then the vacating party can have a big bed to share with sibling.

You can get it nicely made in timber and painted either white or in a nice colour to suite the room decor.

A very good carpenter can make the frame a bit fancy if you wanna jazz it up or make a custom headboard.

Those are my thoughts. Hope it's useful!

Note: single bed (normal hostel bed size) and double bed measurements below:

I saw a post once on IG that it isnt wrong for breastfed babies to take multivitamin (abidec and co)
Cause BM doesn't contain vitamin D, which they can get from multivitamin
