Even if you do not, you need not formally and overtly state same. The lives of the vulnerable citizens in these areas have further been exposed to higher risks.

The Government has no excuse; it is her duty to protect all citizens.

A crass display of incompetence and ineptitude...

Recruit more then.
They might not really need more men to man those troubled areas properly in a modern times where a single farmer in a remote county can monitor several hundreds of hectare/plantation using surveillance drone technology (not attack drones)from a small cubicle in a room. Using this technique, the military can spot potential troubled and check it by drafting immediate military or security reinforcement. Nigerian government/military should think outside the box... pay premium on human lives...and stop all these laughable excuses.

Ok...but can soldiers be deployed to every village?

It's not as if these Gunmen hide oo , they are always seen gathering days before the attacks and despite calls on the security forces to disband them nothing ever happens .. the plain truth is that these attack have the blessing of a very very senior govt official

U don't have enough solders cos it didn't affect anyone related to u or ur business.
Wen d SS agitated for resource control there were enof solders.
Wen d SE agitated for Biafra there were enof solders.
Wen Ogonis's said Shell should leave their land there were enof solders.
Now that the Presidents kinsmen have become a threat to national security, there are not enof solders.
All is well.

Wow

Everytime I have heard this man speak I surely think to myself this is the stupidest person Nigeria could have ever elected then he opens his mouth a says something again and out does himself

Words literally fail me to describe the deep of stupidity this man displays every single time

No wonder his dimwits praise the most mediocre things about him like when he uses a microphone or when lots of paid people come to receive him at the airport

Other countries presidents are paid for Superbowl economic and diplomatic initities but here scroll over the last 3 years of threads on nairaland where this dunce is praised

It's either for commissionof a building or release of a list or release of useless stats

It's shocking how stupid this country is

No wonder foreigners just don't.respect Nigerians and no it's not because of the Yahoo boys it's because when anyone in the world visits sites like nairaland and see what this idiot is being praised for they just wonder how backwards Nigerians really are

I mean the other day a governor empowered his citizens with shieshining kits ? And it's on the internet I can only imagine what citizens in developed counties will think

You see APC Dimwits forget that the world is a global.village and it's not just about propaganda locally anymore anything on the internet had gone global

So while you blame the Yahoo boys off course who are stupid too but remember the damage people.like buhari and politicians are doing to.your image is beyond imagination

I mean look at the usuelss comment a.president is making and this commnet had gone global.because it's on the internet

Tomorrow when a foreigner tells you that Nigerians are.monkies you will.scream racist and bloody murder

If some Nigerians are not monkies what normal adult will support a president who thinks like this ?

Then why not legalize the ownership of firearms since the state has admitted failure. We continue to sink to lower depths of governance week after week. What was the campaign promises again. Just so unfortunate we don't have viable political opposition. This is one of the biggest challenges we face. We are in dire need of new ideas.

Innobets. Good morning sir. Decided to post here to avoid unnecessary insult and abuse on the football thread. I need a help/loan of #22,000 from you to pay up my final year Hnd school fees as exam starts on 28th may. I can send and attach all the necessaary documents to support my claim.
I can present to you my original ND certificate as collateral or subject myself to physical verification pending when the loan is paid back in a month time.
Thanks as you consider

This is true. Villagers tend to stay in very small settlements. Can somebody count the number of villages in just one local government without missing a single village? I bet nobody can do that.
These attackers are using guerilla tactics and they are not using uniforms so they can attack without any warning, they are both locals and visitors. So there is no way to stop them except to declare fully 24/7 curfew. Which is not possible or desireable.
I wonder there are youths in this locality but upto this moment they are always attacked, they didnt have the opportunity to catch or kill a single one of these attackers during the attack. This is weird. And the criminals will not stop if everytime they attack people fled and allow them to have a free field day

Oga, we are not fools!

Did the Army have enough soldiers to guard every village in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa States? How did they decimate Boko Haram from a rampaging army with armored tanks to Okada-riding bandits today?

How many attackers are there?

Where are they camped?

What routes do they take to carry out the attacks?

If the answers to these questions are not already known (I doubt that) they can be deduced in a few days of Intel gathering.

Fifty well provisioned soldiers are enough to slaughter all the so-called herdsmen!

“In 1963, Nigeria’s population was 52 million. Today, it is about 200 million, yet the land space has remained the same. Against this background, the contest for land and other natural resources is bound to be keener, and the friction, more.

Yet the northerners and Muslims largely do not subscribe to family planning initiatives with the reason that it's not condoned by their religion.

You see why we keep running round in circles?

Not enough personnel but you still retain a skewed quota system that largely favors the north when admitting folks into the NDA

Is cattle rearing not private business?

Why does this government insist on providing ranching, water, feed and even rangers all to protect cows? From our collective wealth, some private businesses are to be funded?

There's a lot of nonsense happening in this country honestly.

Subsidising those things are fine but paying for them from the national coffers is something we must all rise up and say no to! Private business remains private cos these guys don't even pay tax, nor do they give returns to the FG.

It's sad what Nigeria has become under tyrant buhari.

Yet you swore to protect us abi, then allow us to defend ourselves. These killers didn't drop from the sky, they are not invisible beings, always in groups, yet you can't arrest them. But the moment the locals attempt defending themselves you appear with commandor style and arrest them.

If Buhari can't stop the killings he should step down.
That was one of the reasons GEJ lost.

Resettlement of those villages means moving them from their ancestral homelands and shifting them closer to each other thereby creating an uninhabited portion of land which would be inhabited by herdsmen.

It's a relay race. The Fulani herdsmen have handed over the baton of land grabbing to the Fulani Government.

Wrong! Policing should be left to local communities not the Fed govt. They are stretched waaaay too thin. The less the the Fed govt has on its plate, the more effective they tend to be.
