Ok, I have heard you.

Wether you have e hailing experience or not, there's no end to knowledge and even the experienced ones keeps learning daily on the job.

Or did you bring e hailing experience from heaven at birth?

When you started driving, are you saying you couldn't make money at all? Or it wasn't possible for you to set aside 35k weekly if you do the general average of 8-10 trips daily?

If you could do that, that is all the partner cares about.

Everyone starts from zero e hailing experience. Initially I was concerned cos I didn't know much of lagos roads. But I quickly discovered that one could achieve the 80-100k weekly benchmark if you're not lazy.

Personally for me, I will never accept lack of e hailing experience from a driver as a reason not to deliver weekly rental. And that's all we are really talking about-ability to deliver your weekly rentals without stories/excuse. It's usually about laziness, lack of zeal, integrity etc and never about e hailing experience.

I agree with U 100% on this. Its never really about e hailing experience. A crooked driver is an experienced one...like all the defaulting drivers mentioned on thIs thread are the so-called experience drivers.

Vibrations when you apply brakes at top speed is likely a rough brake disc. I hope your brake pads are not too low.

I'm not too sure of the other sound.

Thank you. I hope to find the real cause of sound issue.

Seems car owners here don't understand what I've been driving at as per experience, so I will break it down for us all

Like Dru23 will say through his many memes, you can learn from your own experience or other people's experience. When a new car owner or new driver comes on this forum, we tell him or her "go read up from page 1 to the last page, you will get everything you need to know about this e-hailing business". What is that? Are those not other people's experiences this newbie owner or driver is leveraging on?
OK, when you sign up a new driver and you brief him - do this like this, do that like that; don't go out by this time, be in this area during working hours, don't work beyond 10pm ... pray, tell me, is that not experience you are passing across to this newbie driver? Abi him go come invent wheel once again? Shey una dey give una cars out without briefing the driver how the ehailing business dey go?

No need to even talk again. Give your cars to newbies nau

So I decided to use Taxify on arrival and am seeing 200 as Base fare as against 300 in lags, 5.5 waitING time per min.

So I request and dude calls me, we start the trip, oga driver, where is your phone, he said he left it with a fellow driver. So I asked him how he'll end the trip and he said it's about 4000 from Airport to AYA. Meanwhile my app shows 3150 to 3300.

He said they do drop pin at airport and bla bla bla.
I just discovered the trip didn't start at my own app and am wondering how it happened since he called me from the request I sent.

There seems to be some mago mago here. He said he left his phone with a fellow driver who is number 27 on uber queue while he is no 1

I just don't understand
I won't give him more than 3500 shikena.
It's obviously an offline trip. Abeg how una de do am. I have heard about plenty plenty offline trips on this forum.

Here is what happened.
That driver only does airport trips.
Because ride share drivers are queued at the airport, if the driver accepts a trip and starts it, once he drives out of the airport, he is removed from the queue. By the time he gets back to the airport he will have to start from number 27 or whatever number again. This is what he doesn't want, so he has left his phone at the airport so Taxify won't take him out of the queue, now, upon cancellation, taxify will assume he never did your trip and give him another trip immediately he gets back to the airport. There are drivers stationed at the airport who don't do any trips, all they do is hold phones for other drivers and charge for the service.

Driving for Taxify and Uber and actually meeting remittance is not easy and drivers oftentimes have to engage in sharp practices just to meet up. That said, I am not encouraging such.

The driver is trying to boycott taxify commission by accepting request, collecting riders details and declining to request. And at the end of the trip, they will get their cash, avoid been rated cos the trip dint happen on the app and no commission for taxify.
That's what the driver did. Note: that act is fraudulent and at the end .. This will begin to affect all drivers and their earnings.

Taxify will continue to tackle this issue agressively to protect the interest of all driver partners.

Note: this will not affect drivers only but driver-partner. If you like encourage your driver to keep getting involved in this fraud for them to meet up to your weekly rentals. You will be prosecuted along side. #anti-fraud driver/partner

This is one of the factors you can never ascertain prior to partnering with driver.

That's why period checking of the state of your car is important. Once a week or twice a month is ok

Does Uber/Taxify charge the same fair for all vehicles? Eg; will base fair for a 2004 corolla be same with 2012 Camry? I had an argument with someone about it this afternoon
