We actually need a big game mentality coach... e.g... Simeone... that can demand more from average players... they don't have unlimited cash... but Barca and Madrid dey hear am from Tico... we would get bullied in the Premier League... it is sure...

Ivan Gazidis will get sacked before that club can move forward...
Simone was my first choice

Coaching Bayern, Barca, real Madrid, man shitty, man utd, Juventus and PSG and not getting into the semi is a failure... drops Mic***

I'm going to watch as things unfold... jah spares our lives for years to come...
Yes, Pep Guardiola with his one billion pounds Man city squad hasn't gotten to the semi finals of the Champions League for two seasons now. The guy is a monumental failure and should be sacked.

Seeing that you mentioned 7 clubs that should be in the semi finals but only four are guaranteed I take it you are suggesting that the three other managers should be sacked every year.

You get the point??

Simeone will bore everyone to death. Even you, Sod09, will get sick of his dire football and child-like tantrums in no time.

That's what I'm saying... Unai with limited funds performed with smaller clubs albeit... they can never topple Madrid or Barca but they tried... now with a bigger club with a blank cheque... turns out he isn't that good...

Jardim too has a blank cheque... I'd rather have this Bournemouth coach... forgotten his name than Unai... I'm giving him 6 months before he gets the boot...

LMAO

So you'll pick Eddie Howe over someone who has won the Europa league three times with Sevilla and has seen two third place la liga finish with a not so wealthy Valencia.

Wow.

sevilla and valencia is/are more or less like the spurs and everton in epl....

finally, i didn't say i would pick howe over emery.... i just stated he was someone i admired....

a quick question, who would u choose between pochettino and emery?

You genuinely believe Howe will do a better job than what Poch is doing at the moment? I doubt he'll make top 6 with that Spurs squad.

To your question, funnily enough for all the hype Poch gets he hasn't won a trophy. Emery on the other hand has won a couple including three with a financially constraint club like Sevilla, impressively beating Klopps Liverpool in a final two years ago. Also, Emery at Valencia and Sevilla was more successful than Poch at Espanyol (in 2010 for example, Emery finished 3rd with Valencia while Poch finished 11th with Espanyol)

So yes, his CV appear to be far superior to Poch and I'll be willing to take a chance with him.

Why do you honestly think Unai was told to go... he won the treble...huh Abi...huh why do you think Bayern didn't renew Fraudiola's contract... how many coaches has Barca sacked in 6 years...huh

Arsenal is now a small club... eod... and we should learn to lower our expectations...

What do you think is our board's expectation this year...huh lifting a trophy, or managing to get to top 4...huh

I can comfortable tell you... if we wanted to win something... then they could have signed Enrique...

I'm sure Unai got the job because he guaranteed top 4...

and if he doesn't qualify for UEFA Champions League...huh he gets the boot...

Get your facts right, Guardiola was offered a new contract by Bayern but he declined. Had the Man city job lined up for him by his friend XhikI (Man city director of football)

No, Arsenal is not a small club. If they were, a 5th and 6th place finish in two years and three FA cup trophies in five years won't be seen as failure. Literally any club bar maybe the financially doped clubs (Man city and Chelsea) would take that. Heck Spurs and Liverpool haven't won anything in almost a decade and they are still praised and seen as top clubs.

Oga you're a bit harsh on Emery, based on who was out there and who we could realistically get, I don't think Emery will be a bad appointment
Apparently Arsenal interviewed him 4 weeks ago, makes me wonder what the Arteta hype was all about if they were going to go for Emery, just re-iterates how you can't believe everything you read in the news

Is Man Utd winning the league this season?
Is Liverpool winning the league this season?
Is Tottenham winning the league this season?
Is Chelsea winning the league this season?

Bro, no one knows. Winning the league is not our birth right. Best we can do is get behind our team and do away with all this negativity. That's what true fans do.

I don’t see how Emery is underwhelming when we all thought we were getting Arteta, a literal shot in the dark who hasn’t managed a day in his life. Some ‘fans’ just have to find things to moan about and are cancerous to the fanbase and the club, it’s mental.

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/may/22/arsenal-ivan-gazidis-unai-emery-mikel-arteta-new-manager-wenger
When I first saw this news notification on my Google app, I was reluctant to open it and read it.

But upon reading it now, I can only dare to dream big and hope Gazidis is correct. He sounds like a strategist who has the best of interest for Arsenal. Wenger leaving is perhaps the best thing that happened to Arsenal in the last five to eight years.

Time will tell....
