Good day people. I did my masters in law in Nigeria in 2016 and since then I haven't gotten my result or certificate. Should I tell Wes to evaluate only my first degree certificate? what is the implication of this?

2. I have only 1 year experience as a lawyer because I haven't been too stable with jobs as they were mostly one-man law firms. Is it better for me to have more years of experience in my current place if work before applying? Will I have more points if I have more years of experience? How will I justify my POF with only 1 year work experience?

Well for starters, as a lawyer all u need to do is evaluate ur LL.B using IQAS and not WES. IQAS evaluates LL.B as Masters/ professional degree.
You can use just your 1 year nysc employment to qualify for Express entry if you add that to the other 1 year exp u have thats 2 then calculate your score using this http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp. For your better understanding, please use your research skills as a lawyer and visit page 0 of this thread. It will help you a great deal. You will be doing yourself a great service ooo

Is it the same amount you paid for your UK masters that Madam paid at LASU?
grin grin grin

Three weeks long sha but some of us spent 9 months on WES, so drink water on it or ask what you need to do to make it faster.

Guys please don't jump and pass and please don't refer me to page zero.

School received verification request by email. Can they respond by email? If response by email is possible why do we stress ourselves using courier?

Please help. Have been asked by school to choose if I want them to respond by mail or by courier. ABSU to be specific. Thanks.

I couldn't have written this better.
NB: I can do without it but for crying out loud Nigeria is hard and not everyone is wealthy. I remember almost hugging the Boss at the Canadian Embassy when she said I could use it. It was like a lottery I won because I really needed it.
This wouldn't hurt me so much if I didn't confirm and if I didn't know of anyone who used it.
I'll do them an email today or tomorrow and take a screenshot of whatever response I get. I'll advice others who are free to visit their embassy and send emails(Please don't start stating % they should tell you that if necessary). If it's illegal to use the 100%, it's also illegal to use 25% because it's not available at time of application same reason we can't use equity on real estate.

Your application for permanent residence is not considered at the embassy. If you spoke to a VO it would be different. Let's be guided by the information available at canada.ca and whatever extra advice we can get from IRCC's twitter handle. I obtained a letter from IBTC recently and the 25% clause was boldly stated therein. Also, In my OINP application I was asked to provide additional information on my NOC/duties for a previous bank grade (they mentioned the grade live!) Meanwhile, the reference letter I submitted initially only had my current grade and didn't mention previous grades anywhere. They know more than you think they know. It's their job to know by the way.

Your hustle go pay. You can actually get married IN COURT and get your spouse to do IELTS, that way u boost your score.
sanugirl:
Good Morning Everyone.
I have been a silent reader and been on this Journey since November,2017. I have done my WES, passed IELTS and i am presently in the Pool.

1st IELTS : L 7.5 R7.5 S7.5 W 7

2nd IELTS : L 8.5 R7.5 S 7 W 7.5

I decided i needed to Increase my CRS (435) to 441 as i presently don't have a Masters degree so gave IELTS another shot and i was humbled.

3rd IELTS: L8 R7.5 S 7.5 W 7

I was so pained and i decided just to wait for the score to drop. But then I have a 9 to 5 that is driving me crazy at at the same time motivates me on this PR Journey.

I have registered for another IELTS in June and also picked up the PG form in Noun last Month.

I really do pray i get to testify soon and getting My PR this year.

This Forum is very informative regardless of all the banters.

Mine was responded to by email, no courier and that should suffice because WES has sent me an email that they have gotten all they need and finalising my report.
adex05:

Thanks for the response.
My question is was your results verified by the institution via mail or courier service.
WES has sent details of my results for verification. My contact person has also confirmed receipt of my documents from WES,However he is insisting that i pay for another courier service to WES.
