Biafra Day Celebration Turns Bloody In Anambra by afroniger(op): 3:31pm On May 23, 2018
AS BIM/MASSOB ACCUSES JTF OF KILLING 5 MEMBERS, INJURING 4, ARRESTING 206 OTHERS

ACTIVITIES marking this year’s 18th-year-anniversary celebration of new Biafra yesterday turned bloody in Onitsha, Anambra state as members of the Biafra Independence Movement/Movement for Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra, BIM/MASSOB accused the joint military task force operating in the state of killing about five of its members.

BIM/MASSOB also accused the military task force of breaking the skulls of four of their members and arresting 206 others in what they termed a most gruesome manner.

Confirming the killings, injuries and arrests to newsmen shortly after the encounter, BIM/MASSOB’s Director of Information, Mazi Chris Mocha stated that while their members gathered at Obosi By-pass along the Onitsha/Owerri road, near Onitsha, the joint military task force including the Army, Navy, Police, Civil Defence, Department of State Services, DSS and others swooped on them with over 45 Hilux vehicles and opened fire, killing five of their members instantly.

According to Mocha, the JTF also used machetes to cut some parts of the bodies of four of their members, including their skulls, adding that the four victims of the machete cuts included Chief Vincent Iloh, Ebuka Emmanuel, Innocent Okolie, and Mrs Virginia Ubaezuonu in the desperate attempts of the JTF to disperse the crowd.

Mocha mentioned Chief Christian Ifejika, Declan Okafor, Gloria Umejesi, Rose Oforbike, Fidelis Oduenyi and 173 others as those arrested and whisked away to the unknown destination by the JTF among the in Onitsha.

The best way to get Biafran is through a democratic way, come together, project leaders with the Biafran ideology like kanu and Sen Abaribe to lead all the south east state and then used their voices to echo your message to world leaders like Catalonia is doing. If not you people will keep on gambling with lives for nothing. Imagine someone like Dino melaye leading your quest

We have fulani herdsman and Buhari used a joint task force of useful forces to fight civilian.

What is the problem with people protesting peacefully.

The freedom of biafra would not come by force rather it would come by force of a natural disaster in the northern region.

People without arms are meeting to discuss without causing disruptions of the affairs of the state.

The meeting is a a time to discuss things beyond secession.

Things like unity of igbo in the north
Fighting for their right
And also regards things beyond the scope of the this man called buhari

People do not only secede by war but by war caused by force of nature Eg Natural disaster

BIM Is not the same as MASSOB. Nigerian media has an agenda.

Uwazurike is the leader of BIM And we all know his fraudulent history with MASSOB until he was kicked out.

For some reason they keep calling them MASSOB.

As the title says: BIM/MASSOB okay! Not IPOB. If you don't know BIM and MASSOB are government sponsored Biafra groups to protest in the name of undermining IPOB. They started fighting when MASSOB refused to share the government money according to the agreement they had. Useless things!

I am not Igbo but it is very obvious that there is some ulterior motive for not allowing Biafra become independent. It's so obvious. These guys are more important to this country than we can imagine, otherwise why do you think it's difficult to let these people be independent?

The reason why the federal forces fought so hard between 1967-1970 was not because they love to see Nigeria as one but rather the Oil that was in Biafra. If Biafra had nothing of any consequence they would have since gotten their independence.
