Dear fellows in the house

I'm building a water tank for my farm and I need high gravity for reticulation.

Can anyone help with advise if 16000 litres of water carried in round GP tanks can be sustained by a tank stand constructed with 6"X4",H channel irons braced with 2"x2" angle bars up to 50fts, that is 15meters high?

Better find another channel and make it six line base not four. 6by4 is damn too little. Thing go bend

If you are going to make it four tanks each section by four sections. Dude you will be needing to rethink everything you already planned from financing to choice of material

Thanks. Will 8"X4" do for 4 tanks of 4,000 litres? That's 16,000 head load

that will be ok but the 8"*4" should be about six foundation base and not ordinary four. What's your location btw

That's it in the picture. The contractor designed and built that and insisting he has done it before and the it will carry. I have serious doubt so I am thinking he should double the bracing

Please, advise what we need to do.

hmm. How do you intend you get four tanks on each compartment. Anyway you need to trust him and hope he surely delivers
