Independent Yoruba country? How? Yorubas are not freedom fighters and there is no visible agitation for Oduduwa Republic.

If you want to talk about serious freedom fighters, talk about Igbos, Ijaws etc. They are the ones who in the past have taken up arms against Nigeria to fight for their sovereignty. The are The ones you will see on the streets agitating for a separate state.

There is a consistent yoruba group agitating for freedom the name of the leader is adeyinka Grandson hes based in England and started largely around the same time as nnamdi there is an alfa in ilorin that clamour independently there is OPC though not officially but all Opc members on nairaland would know what I am saying there is the agbekoya movement in ibadan and the yoruba liberation command yes you are right it is all talk but I would tell you some of this people have been arrested in the past like imam ilorin
I can talk authoritatively about OPC if the yoruba populace clamour for independence Opc is ready to lead the struggle so yes there are groups serious about independence in Yorubaland
