all trash u wrote nupe never ruled oyo for 100 years. Oyo beat Dahomey and dahomey wa it’s tribute state. Benin kingdom was a small village of unclad savages nothin more they needed a Yoruba Prince oramiyan to liberate them from darkness.

The British governor wrote what he said he heard from the Yorubas but he only saw the defeat and domination of the Yorubas by the Fulanis..

In fact, he was the only King all Yoruba kings respect overwhelmingly. This is not because of kingdom strength but the seat of Oduduwa,whose throne is occupied by Oranmiyan descendants. Historically, Ooni was the only king that all kings left their seat to acknowledged him ,when he clarify, a town under Ijebu in Ikorodu that tried to claim that her kings wears beaded crown which Ooni declared as false.
