Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, the national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC has announced his withdrawal from contesting for another tenure as the party's leader, PoliticsNGR has learned.

Oyegun, on Friday evening, told newsmen at his Abuja residence;

"Even though I had the desire to re-contest as National Chairman of the Party, I have decided that it is ultimately in the best interest of the Party for me to withdraw from the race".

It will be recalled that Oyegun's problems began after his fallout with the National leader of the party, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Person wey never fit recover from his own stab from Presidency and divided APC in Lagos na him dey win?.

Oyegun was smart by half by quickly switching allegiance after the 2015 election but he also proved to everyone that he is ungrateful and would only be loyal to you because of the benefits he can gain from you. He fails to realise that you don't fight with some people cause even if you win the fights you'll still lose the battle. Let's all watch and see how irrelevant Oyegun would be after handing over the chairmanship in comparison to the relevance of a non office holder in the person of Tinubu.
You can't win a war against Tinubu even if you win some fights. He is a politician many love to hate because of his seemingly power but mind you he has the most faithful loyalist among those in power come rain come sun.

Some notable names are just waiting for the right time to swap parties.. APC didn't fair well as the ruling party, so much disunity.

Well, what do you expect from a party whose sole aim was to oust GEJ aside that nothing was structured! God knows this party and PDP are full of devilish people.
