I am Igbo but I have to admit when it comes to entertainment, information technology and investments Yorubas are heads and shoulders over every other tribe in Nigeria. We Igbos control sports (80 % of SE is Igbo), English Nollywood and small and medium enterprises (SMEs). These are the facts.

My guy I have been saying this for years but whenever I say some of your people say I am a tribalist. Now maybe they will believe you since you are their brother.

I hope otedola has paid your school fees, or innoson sponsored your business...or dangote given you loan?

You had better be serious with your personal hustle....else

Let see how far you all can go with tribalism!

Most of them are frustrated, believe me. To understand my point, imagine a street tout/urchin/total buffoon who owns a phone and browses daily. That's an example of such individuals.

Frustration personified!

This is pure marginalization or is it because of the war? Well, let's give it to the Afonjas, without them naija is nothing. Yoruba Amaka

What is dis 1 saying? There is nothing like delta Igbo. Igbo is Igbo.

And also there is nothing like "Yoruba Amaka." Its "Igbo Amaka." This is a unique cultural phrase for Igbos only. You Yorubas can come up with your own phrase.

One of the secrets of the Yorubas is that they have immense native intelligence. If you have ever come across real Yorubas - not those ones who have abandoned their rich culture because of Christianity or Islam - you will understand what I mean by native intelligence. There is an immense level of logic/imagination in pure Yoruba language (not that rubbish they speak in Lagos though). If you understand Yoruba, watch one of these pure Yoruba movies - not those ones were they mix English and Yoruba - you will see where Yorubas get their cleverness from. But Yorubas are gradually losing their core culture and the good news for Igbos is that we will soon take over from them. Within 10 years we will take over music (SE music scene is a pressure cooker waiting to explode and when it does it will take over Lagos and conquer the Nigerian music scene), large scale investments (Innoson has opened many business eyes in the SE) and most importantly information technology (Igbos are gradually beginning to see the value of computing and coding as a viable skill).

The smart Yorubas have already seen the writing on the wall. And they have been sounding the alarm. But I think its too late. In the next few decades, Igbos will beat Yorubas in EVERY single sector. No be mouth. Those who know. Know.

My guy in terms of the native intelligence I completely agree with you. If you ever converse in Yoruba with Yorubas who really know their culture, its like playing 3D chess. This is why I love Yoruba movies - the dialogue is too much. As far as Yorubas losing their culture - I think all Nigerian tribes are at risk of this not just Yorubas. In fact, the Yorubas might be faring better than others in this regard. As far as Igbos taking over EVERY single sector, I don't know. But I agree with you on Innoson. He has opened the eyes of many Igbo business men in terms of international business collaboration and I strongly suspect Innoson is just the beginning. I think on that you might just be 100 % correct.

If you can't make it at 30 under, you can still make it at 50 under 50 of which some of them here now, won't be there then.
The most important thing is to focus and work on your dream(s) if you actually have any.
I only respect those in the Business and technology categories, the other ones are roses in the scorching sun that would eventually dry off...
Thank you
