So even Red Cross, an International NGO with repute standard elsewhere has been influenced by sheepish political followership in Nigeria. A president that failed to care for thousands of casualties in various massacres in his country is being decorated as grand Patron by an organization that carter for those injured.

For God’s sake what would be his capacity or contribution as a patron? Is it in terms of advise or funding?

Since when did they merge the Red Cross and red crescent together? why is it that in Nigeria, everything is done differently? the red crescent is, just like most Islamic stuff, a poor and narcicisstic imitation of Christianity. They will first condemn and say so so and so isn't done right, then they will,in their self righteousness, imitate it. they should be separate organisations, just as they are everywhere else.

the Red Cross provides emergency first aid and health to all. the red crescent provides emergency health and aid to Muslims. period.
