My friend whoever comes in in 2019 is not going to do much for you and I, they are all the same. I dont know why you are killing yourself over this. This is not about being from the SW. Like i said heroes (even accidental ones like Abiola) and significant moments in our history must be recognised. Abiola, OBJ, IBB,Atiku, Abacha,IBB,etc etc are all from the same mother. I am not a fan of any of them, Abiola himself was a govt contractor who was killed by the same lions on whose backs he rode. Acknowledging June 12 is not about coming from the SW, it's not about Abiols the man, it's about us as a people. Yes I know this was a political calculation but sometimes even your enemy can do something right. Salvage your mind from this North south mentality and acknowledge that fior whatever reason it was done, June 12 has been acknowledged. or you would rather Obasanjo's may 29 who worked to make sure no yoruba man had any higher honour than himself?

But I have no obsession with Kingibe. The guy is such a lucky fellow.
Kingibe was part of Abiola's mandate, but also part Abachas regime.
Then part of Yar'adua's regime.
Now he is part of Buhari's regime.

So what? Do you know any road called baba kinigbe road?, airport?, univeristy? Nobody will remember Kinigbe (even as he is alive many dont know who he is) do you know how many Nigerians are GCON, how many that are alive can you list?. GCFR is only for presidents/heads of states and Buhari has ensured that even in 100 years time, for at least 1 day every year people will always remember Abiola died for our democracy for eternity. That is the significance. When you think about that you realise Kinigbe is insignificant.
