steveosaz:Bring proof where Olugbo and Alaafin formed alliance? Looking for an escape root? Never. What concerns Oviedo with Yorubas highest position ? Face your only Oba,who refused to let you all know the meaning of Oba until Ewuare informed the who world that ,the word, ‘Oba' is a Yoruba word for king.Yoruba rocks. ![]() |

Moneywomen17:Less than a decade not century before being chased out . The contact with Europeans around 1485 gave them such edge but always lost it. All wars Bini fought against Yorubas were lost at later time to yorubas. In fact, they fought Igalas, the Bini lost. The Bini fought against Itsekiri ,the Bini lost. . Even a descendant of Oba Bini is in Ekiti but pledge his allegiance to Ooni Oranmiyan–Odudua. Does this not show fraudulent act by revisionism of Oba Eredieuwa and the Uzamas who tried to twist history? We know our story, family by family and lineage by lineage, even when intermarriage is involved. |

steveosaz: steveosaz: steveosaz:As usual, no academic citations to back up your many tirades. I’ll say this the Alaafin, the Olugbo, you & your king have a lot of well researched works in History, Anthropology & Archeology that took almost the entirety of 20th century to contend with, a lot. Any of your posts to me with no indicated references will get no response from me. |

steveosaz:1. Ugbo were not warriors. They were not at war with their fellow Ugbo. 2. Osangan Obamakin took over the throne after Oduduwa. Moremi came into the picture during the reign of Obalufon II. How was she Osangan Obamakin’s wife again? Smh ![]() 3. Osangan Obamakin was Oramfe’s comtemporary & not his son. Like Oramfe, he was one of the 16 elders of Ife. Oramfe’s children were Ososo, Bamideyi, Oluyoko, Orasusi & Orayigba. 4. Ile’ro or Ile Ero was the place captured Ugbo were later resettled. When they were first captured, they were locked up in Ile Ugbo, a place withon the palace walls existing today but they did not come to fight and neither should dey be prisoners in their own lands and they were taken to Ilero from where they moved back to their Iwinrin section. 5. Osangan Obamakin never left Ife. The person who led that group of Ugbo out of Ife was Obawinrin. You see the absurdity you refer to as history? You seem to enjoy revisionism a lot. These books below were written in the 80s & are far removed from politics-influenced revisionism of today. |

Y0ruba:So now Ekiti is very tiny or Ekiti is a recent creation abi? Guy no need to continue ur delusion. Benin Kingdom conquered and ruled all of Eastern Yoruba except Ife.. We cud have taken Ife but because of the spiritual status it has we left it alone.. So because I asked u which part of Yoruba are you from you run go claim Ife knowing Benin didn’t touch it abi lol. Why u no claim other parts, You know we conquered all.. |
| Re: Oba Of Benin Visits Ooni Of Ife by davidnazee: 3:57pm On Jun 07, 2018 |
Y0ruba:Abeg which history does Yoruba have? Which caucasians dedicated their lives to study Yoruba history? If u must know, the only way the little that is known about Yoruba was done using the “question and answer” method.. there was nothing else to use to find out about Yoruba only oral accounts which is always not credible. Do u know why the British rushed to colonize Yoruba? I will tell u.. When the Europeans came the Yorubas were a broken and traumatized people, devastated by internal conflicts and external aggression from forces like the Benin and Fulanis.. The Yorubas were killing and selling themselves into slavery, the British afraid that the French may use the disorder and disorganization in the Yoruba race as an excuse to claim Yoruba as their colony quickly rushed to colonize the region. The British out of pity and their selfish interests decided to save the Yorubas from themselves and from Benin Kingdom.. Now you know a little bit of your history.. |
| Re: Oba Of Benin Visits Ooni Of Ife by davidnazee: 4:00pm On Jun 07, 2018 |
Olu317:Benin Kingdom conquered all of Eastern Yoruba, deal with it. Don’t blame me go blame your weak ancestors for allowing it to happen and giving me the edge over you to yab u with it. |
| Re: Oba Of Benin Visits Ooni Of Ife by davidnazee: 4:12pm On Jun 07, 2018 |
Olu317:No, you guys were ruled over 500yrs.. if the denial makes u feel good then keep on deny it, I don’t have a problem with ur feel good tactics.. I don’t know if Eastern Yoruba had up to 1000 settlements at that time but if it did then surely Benin conquered all.. And as for the coward statement you made, every Nigerian knows who are the cowards.. and the cowardly name attributed to you yorubas didn’t start recently nor was it Edos that started calling you cowards.. Yorubas have been known to be cowards since the beginning of time. Imagine as soon as you hear Benin is coming full towns evacuate instead of standing to fight. You run and scatter in different directions.. some run to the mountains others run into the bushes and some in process of running fall inside hole and die there, many drowned in rivers while fleeing the advancing Benin armies. Una weak sha..

davidnazee:Yeah I do have legends as ancestors but do you have any to reckon with? I am waiting to read their names. |
| Re: Oba Of Benin Visits Ooni Of Ife by davidnazee: 5:41pm On Jun 07, 2018 |
Olu317:Chai.. that’s all ur can say? That was a very weak response, the weakest response so far from the Yorubas in the forum. Clap for ur self, u just won the award for weakest response.. Babaramota won award for the most moronic Yoruba in the forum, Y0ruba won award for the most foolish Yoruba scholar and now u don win too. Yoruba never ceases to amaze. We have our own legends but we don’t brag about them because it’s just legends. We prefer real things that can be verified.. |

| Re: Oba Of Benin Visits Ooni Of Ife by rhektor(m): 7:18pm On Jun 07, 2018 |
davidnazee:Name those legends with their accomplishments as well as documents within Edo and outside Edo to back up your claims Please no insult |

davidnazee:BabaRamota is the biggest fool of them all. The foolishness of the guy is legendary. Y0ruba is a historical magician. He sits in one small hut in Ife and conjures history like a herbalist. This Olu317 is a clown. I have always had to laugh whenever I read his post. I enjoy his post more than any other Yoruba crook here. The guy practically runs a circus show. Lol... |
| Re: Oba Of Benin Visits Ooni Of Ife by steveosaz(m): 7:58pm On Jun 07, 2018 |
rhektor:Just back off before the sledge hammer falls on you. Read through earlier posts and stop being lousy. I have said it before that Yoruba has no history. What you call history is what was put down by dubious and compromised people like Y0ruba. This is why there are several version, editions and revisions to your history. What you call history has been badly distorted and doctored. Meanwhile, none of you is ready to address the serious issues I raised about what the number one king in yorubaland, Alaafin of Oyo said about the ooni. I really am going to get you all to the point where you would begin to ask yourselves why the ooni is even regarded as a king in yorubaland in the first place. Because the ooni being a slave boy of Oduduwa shouldn't have been made king. His being regarded as a king is an aberration. |
| Re: Oba Of Benin Visits Ooni Of Ife by steveosaz(m): 8:08pm On Jun 07, 2018 |
Y0ruba:All those crap you wrote together with those crappy and very poorly written books you snapshot are in conflict with what the Olugbo in council are saying. Mind you, the Olugbo has written a book on this subject, have you bothered getting the book and going through it? Those who have challenged the lies of ooni have gone to the extent of writing books to document the truth of the matter as it relates to them vis the book written by Oba of Benin and the one written by Olugbo of Ugbo. Yet in all these, ooni has not been able to pen down a single line in his own defense. This is because the ooni is an illiterate on historical matters as well as the fact that even the little he knows is something he dares not make public otherwise a revolt in Ife might happen. The Ugbo have clearly stated that they constantly launched attacks on ife and you are here posting useless publications that have no currency from the perspective of objectivity. |

Y0ruba:That's the coward in you talking. If you were actually intellectual as you want us to believe, you would have known that research doesn't essentially entail digging into the past, because the past most times is fraught with errors, but about finding new things that hitherto weren't known. Pluto since around 1930 had been on schools curriculum all over the world and had been taught to be the nineth planet. This was discarded in 2005 after new research confirmed that Pluto is not a planet but just an asteroid. Imagine using such publications between 1930 and 2005 for referencing and see how lost you would be. Those books you keep quoting are antiquated garbages. The book by the Oba of Benin is first hand source information on this matter and remains the most clearly illustrated version of the story of Oduduwa. Though, these your magical books might continue to serve your purpose within your immediate interest of rewriting and distorting Yoruba history. Good luck with that. |

davidnazee:dabidnaze e pain u well if u like scream coward louder than the ibo man it won’t change that fact that the people u earlier attacked and won with the use of modern warfare came back right to the heart of ur kingdom and conquer ur land led by the courageous ogedengbe Benin boys bow to their knee and beg the ekiti warriors to have mercy I have never seen any bother as weak as that u can’t even fight back shior I spit in Benin weaklings. |

davidnazee:oyo fell to British in 1896 while Benin fell in 1897 but Yoruba like egba we’re serve governing and their king recognized by the British under the (eug) egba united government till the amalgamation. British took control of all Benin land by 1896 and impose their government on them completely to save them from ekiti warriors while Yoruba like the egba were still serve governing so I guess it’s the benin the British rush to colonize now u know a bit of ur own history. No need to thank me |

Moneywomen17:Moneywoman you make me laugh anytime I read ur clownish posts.. I don’t like calling you slowpoke even though you keep acting like one.. Every article worldwide describes Benin Kingdom as the only existing and independent African Kingdom in the 18th century.. The only Kingdom to have retained its independence from European colonialists. I guess you don’t understand the meaning of that that’s why u keep making ur rubbish statements.. |
| Re: Oba Of Benin Visits Ooni Of Ife by steveosaz(m): 9:26pm On Jun 07, 2018 |
Y0ruba:Again, the coward in you keeps playing out. Aren't you just one headless chicken? You don't have to run away so early because I still have a lot of whup ass in store for you. You ain't a historian, you are a conjurer, a magician. |
| Re: Oba Of Benin Visits Ooni Of Ife by davidnazee: 9:31pm On Jun 07, 2018 |
Moneywomen17:While you guys keep defending and denying Benin conquest and suzerainty over the Yorubas do you see any Edo man talking about Ogedengbe? We don’t bother about that because it never happened. Even if u go to the village you claim the coward ogedengbe invaded they will tell u they have no recollection of it.. Ogedengbe sneaked unnoticed and attacked some farm settlements on our northwest border and quickly fled when he was informed of an advancing Benin army.. Reminder for you: Great Benin conquered and ruled your race for at least 500yrs. |

| Re: Oba Of Benin Visits Ooni Of Ife by steveosaz(m): 9:34pm On Jun 07, 2018 |
Moneywomen17:Everyone is at liberty to bear whatever they wish OK. But let's even use your own maxim, are you indirectly telling us that Yorubas who now bear typically Hausa names like Usman, Salihu, Garba are doing so because your culture is not as sophisticated as Hausa culture? This is your litmus test, let's hear from you, slavebuoy. |
| Re: Oba Of Benin Visits Ooni Of Ife by davidnazee: 9:35pm On Jun 07, 2018 |
Moneywomen17:Lol... and yet the Yorubas are the universally acclaimed cowards and weaklings.. abeg answer your generational name, no give another person.. |
| Re: Oba Of Benin Visits Ooni Of Ife by Olu317(m): 9:35pm On Jun 07, 2018 |
davidnazee:I dont blame you for your ignorance but your Oba Erediuwa that conjure a classified fable on Yoruba history in your huts kingdom. Little do you know that David Van Nyendael,Olfert Dapper wrote about Bini declination.Your smallish city was bewitched with retrogressive knowledge of human sacrifice and slave trade that even depopulated Bini. Is Bini a kingdom or a community? Whatever you like, call it ,but the truth is that ,you are a bloody irrelevant group as at today. Do you know why? You lost you touch with your source. Even Oba Bini, even threatened your Ashewos and others with Juju. This only showed that you're indeed a land of vexation . Bloody set of Yoruba followers, that learned about Olokun ,Ogun, Ifa etc from Yorubas. Even itsé is a borrowed word from asé ,which has no etymology in Edo language. I mock you and your ignorance. |
| Re: Oba Of Benin Visits Ooni Of Ife by davidnazee: 9:42pm On Jun 07, 2018 |
rhektor:Are you babaramota’s cousin? Because he is the only one who make the dumbest and most moronic statement like this.. do u know the meaning of legends? We celebrate and touts our heroes not our legends.. so you can continue to sing about your legend of the man descending from the skies in chains or of the man that can draw fire and thunder from the heavens it’s ur business.. |
| Re: Oba Of Benin Visits Ooni Of Ife by Moneywomen17(m): 9:46pm On Jun 07, 2018 |
steveosaz:dumbass like u who told u name like usman is Hausa name. Those are Islamic name dumbass soon u will tell us that buhari is Fulani name or that sanusi is Fulani name too. Ur people bear full Yoruba name with only Yoruba interpretations coz of colonial history of Yoruba over u simple. E pain u well |
