Accordingly, the interviewers recorded two publications for me making a total of 10 marks. Finally, i presented four awards, they were accepted and also tallied 10 marks for me (2.4 each).

However, I'm not too convinced that i would win the award because you don't know what other candidates have at hand. So I'm just praying for the best

forget those ones...they are easy and straight forward as we can all see. just look at the top. how many of us where asked all those questions? but they are grading for them.

I honestly wasnt talking about those, I'm with koolk on how many of us were asked the inifial questions. I too had the so-called mild criterion so i wasn't talking about that section

Brother maximum marks for publication is 5 so you can't have more than that even if you submitted 10 publications.

What I'm trying to say is that they asked us 80% of the questions for those of us who did our interview in kaduna

The answers to most of the questions were in our Statement of Purpose. It's a fair scheme.

I have applied for this scholarship before (at M. Sc.) but wasn't given. I rather went ahead with my masters in a Nigerian University.
If you do not make that final list, it is not the end of life, and that is not enough reason to condemn the process. I know there can be improvements. But you don't tell the examiner the type of questions you should be asked. This process is similar to project defense, where the examiner does not ask all the candidates the same questions. Some will not even be asked more than just few questions while some are seriously drill.
We should all know that everyone can not be selected. The rule that favors one will against the other. Some were not even shortlisted for the interview.

This mentality must stop. This is what causes post election violence most time. We believe we MUST win, when we don't even know the capacity/coverage of others. Some believe because they like me most in important cities, I must win................

you are very right sir. No one is condemning the process. I'm just stating that no one knows his grade as the examiners have the liberty of scoring u as he wants especially wen some of the questions were not asked compared to the certs and awards that we can easily grade oursef.
my point is..no one should say he or she performed better as no two examiners will score u the same if ur exact performance was to be played B4 them.
