I know almost every Nigerian has heard this. This thread was created to cement its authenticity.

Is it true some full length Nigerian movies are shot completely in only two weeks? Who came up with this time length? I heard it from a friend who said it was rumoured so I chose to believe. Every other person I've heard mutter the statement either heard it from a friend or a friend's friend. Please, those practicing in the industry should let us know.
Most of the foreign movies we watch take sometimes up to three years to shoot then an additional one or two to complete in the case of post production. Some movies have their sequels already set long into production before their originals hit cinemas. Why do we lack [some Nigerian movies go through this process but the majority don't] this work etiquette?

In the case of music videos, the average foreign one takes on average three days to shoot. Since we find those cheaper to produce I've noticed most Nigerian artists follow the standard route. Why don't our movies follow the same pattern? Please, I want to know.

The future of this country is bleak if a forum theoretically hosting two million members can not answer such a simple question.
