I don't think I am. Like I said, what I SAW is different from what was posted. Plus I only made mention of the scoring template for PhD applicants. BUT if the template is different for FGC and UK interviews then none is wrong because the one I'm referring to was used during the interview for the UK scheme. You're free to believe what you wish though!!

What an excellent profile! Though you left out your background! Don't you think that could be a major factor in the selection process, since they are looking at programs that are related to the oil and gas industry, which is the core mandate of PTDF?

Why all the fuzz about publications. As for academic publications - in the developed world, if you have one then it is assumed you have started a PhD or some other postgraduate research related program except you are talking about textbooks, novels, biographies, "handouts", "leaflets" and those made in the newspaper .
When you become a true researcher then you can start making genuine publications. That's the ideal thing.

Communication Engineering! I think that one of the major factors is actually your proposal and how it is related to oil and gas. I can tell you that my interview was excellent too, so I really dont know. Lets just be hopeful.

Lol, I wasnt interested in research until after my masters. My thesis was very interesting and I had the best research project by the way, hopefully in the future I will compress it into a paper for publication.

Yes, I remember it was 15-Distinction, 10-Merit and others-5 for masters, & 15-1st class, 10, 2:1, 5-2:2, 0-3rdclass for bachelors

your profile is great and there is high hope and I pray you get it. but I feel you need to try on the publication cause it could be difference between you and the next person from your state who also has First Class and distinction, and maybe fewer awards but with 2 or 3 publication. just my thoughts though

My awards are all academic:
Best student from my dept/faculty, award from NSA (undergrads), best research project, best in the dept, deans list (masters) etc.
If you were a scholar, your letter serves as an award too.
