Dude, that shît is prevalent in TV shows more than normal movies. Gay acts are now being infused in many TV shows, like they came to an unanimous agreement to shove it down our throats. I don't dislike gay people, but the Kissing of two men creeps me the fůck out, so whenever such scenes comes on, I fast forward it. I can't stand it.

It is more natural than you think. You are watching hollywood movies and tv shows. Gay people exist and they have rights in Hollywood/America- so what do you expect?

Nowadays, TV shows and movies strive for realism and so, why shouldnt they show gay people in all their fabulous glory? Arent gay people a real part of America?


There was a time that it was ridiculous to have black people in certain movies in America. There were also bigots then who felt that black people were "shoved down" their throats. They didnt want to see black people kissing- especially black men kissing white women. Think about that.

Like I said, I have no issue with gay people but the act itself. As a straight man used to heterosexual relationships all my life, the THOUGHT of a man kissing another man alone not even getting to see it, repulses me. It's weird and makes me cringe. I just can't stand it and therefore fast forward such scenes for my own sanity.

I remember when a character us Grey's anatomy turned out to be a lesbian I was shocked at it but whatever.

Then other shows started even teen wolf.. I actually stopped teen wolf due to the gay couple in the movie but continued cos of a friend that watched it like mad.

Sons of anarchy ( p.s if you're looking for a hard series to follow you can't go wrong with this one).

I do not care that gay people are having sex. What someone does in the confines of his room as long it's legal and consensual doesn't make me cringe. But, When I get to see it in every series I'm watching, I naturally get put off by it. Even if they want to represent it, they don't necessarily have make it suddenly rampant in every series like they're instructed to do so.

Are you saying without the recent influx of gay scenes, America wouldn't be more progressive? I don't see how the recent trend is crucial to the progress of America.

I don't have any problem with homosexuals. For context, I do like a girl-on-girl action, it certainly turns me on.

There used to be a time on American tv when a gay character is well written in, have proper back story and can conjure empathy from the viewers, like the gay characters in Modern Family for example.

Nowadays,  a seemingly straight guy will suddenly turn gay and openingly make out with another guy in the middle of a random scene. How is that not shoving it down our throat? I mean, it's almost like gays are getting shoehorned into tv shows nowadays, because the producers wanted to "tick" the boxes on their gay quota or something?

I see nothing progressive about that, sir...  just good old plain hypocrisy. Don't fall for the western hype machine.
