He has received multiple answers from people in the past. He or she has been told what to do time and time again. Someone even directed him/her to the Express Entry thread but he/she insists on asking the same question. I guess that's why no one is answering again.

Well it depends ob several factors like
1. Times it takes u to pass IELTS
2. How many credentials u intend to evaluate
3. Size of family and maybe other little things

For me, a single person with IELTS done once and no accompanying family, It was in the range of 1.3M to 1.5M including flight ticket and minus POF. It also depends on your plans as well.

Note that the cost of taking the IELTS exams and credentials evaluation changes from time to time as well.

So do some research to find out about latest pricing and other things.
Dont know if I answwred your questions?

Hi, you will have to formally adopt her, get the court papers to prove this then add her to your application like any other family member. Once she crosses 21 years of age, she will have to apply on her own and cannot come as your dependent.

No, that is not a must. It's not compulsory. The child can still keep the birth surname to honour the birth family or change to yours, it's by your collective choice. All the immigration processing requires is evidence that the relevant government body in Nigeria has formally given you adoption rights. Just like evidence of marriage is marriage certificate but the bride may choose to keep her maiden name or add the two. All the best.

Can't say for a fact but this point may apply.

To be on the safe side, try Samsung but even at that, Samsung pass Samsung. I have an experience where some lines would not work on your BYO device. So, be careful to test the sim on your phone at the store. There was a thread on NL on one guy questioning Tecno etc. Some abused him but he had some few truths. Your Tecno may just end up being a toy when you get to Cana

Seniors in the house, please answer these questions. Can a permanent resident work in the Nigerian high commission in Canada? Does it have any effect in regards to Canadian citizenship? Does it qualify as "Canadian experience".

Nothing stops you from working in the NHC but you must remember one thing. Embassies and HCs are territories within countries. That means, that's Nigeria's land in Canada. So you'd expect Nigerians to dominate the place.

It does not have any effect on being a citizen or Canadian experience as long as you're in Canada.

the good thing is there are a lot of unfulfilled jobs here and if u are willing to work, you will find work to put food on the table, pay bills and still send some home to naija. It all depends on you. Wish you luck, and google is your friend.

Blackbuddy, actually the age of dependent child had changed. Anyone over 18 can't be included as dependent child in the application

******** Edit:
Actually you are right. I didn't realize the dependent child age limit had changed again.

My apologies to everyone

October 27, 2017 – Ottawa, ON – The Government of Canada has changed the definition of the age of dependants from “under 19” to “under 22,” fulfilling a key mandate commitment of the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship. This change will help more immigrant families stay together.Oct 27, 2017

Please be careful with whoever you use in changing your naira to CAD (including bureau de change). We (my family) are currently still accused persons in a fraud case over the money we money we bought from a bureau de change in lagos which was transferred to our canadian account. Apparently, some yahoo boys defrauded some Canadian lady and unknown to us, we bought the money.

Sorry about this. Does this mean that if we are exchanging using this means (that transfer naira in nigeria in exchange for CAD in canada) , It may be better to collect cash rather than let the person transfer directly to my canadian bank account ?

Will I be charged heavily for depositing a large amount of cash in my canadian account ?

Cheers

Yes you are correct. It is better to collect cash when you buy forex and declare the cash when you land in Canada. No, I am not aware of any charges for depositing large sums in your canadian bank account.
