Steve ekaladehran,
Compare the Alake with this guy here...

This guy has a message for you... The position of the mask is a message for you. If it pains you that he wears this mask on his blokos go and snatch it back.

I tell you man, Igalas are bast3rds. grin
They dont talk....they just act!

BabaRamota1980:
Now look at his head carefully. He wears the Mali turban. Not the dan fodio turban. grin

But you dont know the difference because you are uncivilized in the political affairs of West Africa.
You make a sound point

I heard the Malians built the first mosque in "Yoruba" territory long before Dan fodio's madness began

You are the one in need of help.

The guy declared that by time he finished with Ekhaladeran all your pride in his legendary will evaporate. True to his word when he finished no Edo has again mentioned the word E K H A L A D E R A N....none! The pages are there is you care to go back and review. All of you came in blazing about Ekhaladeran and his founding of Uhe. His name taste sour in your mouth now because the guy you call inconsequential successfully dealt you blows and shut you up about your legend of Uhe.

Inconsequential indeed!
Dem no born dem well to mention ekladeran in my presence. I go start afresh and even show things that I kept quiet about. grin grin

Maybe I am just different

But..

It always left a sour taste in my mouth whenever I decimated another human being physically or psychologically

Well.. except females (A different sort of decimation cheesy cheesy)

Anyway..

I do not feel good knowing I belittled another man

But I understand a man is a being of immense pride and honor

Willing to fight to the death in Defence of Honor

But sometimes you should control your very ego

The act of making peace, is a very honorable trait
If I were you I would go to Religion section and deliver lost souls, or better yet to Romance section and console heartbroken lovers. You are in the wrong thread bro

This is not 1990. People volunteer their position and nudity on internet these days. Dude you are almost in the third decade of the 21st century. What's wrong with you?

Two wrongs can never make a right

My heart bleeds for the black nation

If we were as useless as our enemies desperately want us to think

I would have given up

But I have ancient proof of our greatness

I can never give up

Even if only 1% hear and accept

Would you consider uniting and making peace with all black men and women today?

My bro?
I wish more of our people were as enlightened as you. I salute you bro. Are you full Yoruba or are you part Yoruba, part Edo?

I’m Edo(Esan) and I love the Yorubas. I always bring up our historical relationship to Yorubas I meet. We’re brothers. Similarly I love all Nigerians, Igbos, Yoruba, Ijaw, Edo, Uhrobo, Istekiri, Ibibio Efik Fulani Hausa Tiv
We need to stop fighting one another.

We never had animosity like this before the white man came and put enmity between us. Let’s empower and uplift ourselves. We’re doing more harm than good when we divide ourselves.

And I don’t know why Yorubas and Edos are fighting given our cultural and historical similarities.

As blacks we should learn and put our differences aside and unite. Whites are successful because even though they fought and hated each other, they viewed the man of color as a common enemy, so they United

Unlike Olfert Dapper who has never stepped foot in Benin but gave illustrations of "walls that are washed and polished to look like mirror", here, from those on the ground and in contact with Benin, are true accounts of what they saw.
I see that you are still promoting your white masters excuse to justify their invasion of Benin Kingdom..
Continue spreading their lies of human sacrifices and blood everywhere.. Good for you.. At least we know who enabled the white man to successfully invade Benin Kingdom and other parts of West Africa..

If the British upon entering Benin City had taken pictures, the only dead bodies would have been the thousands of innocent women and children and men they killed with their guns and canons.. But they only took pictures of the looting of the palace and artifacts and of prisoners.
Everybody knows the white man tactics of justifying any invasion.. The Yorubas help them promote it.

Is Edo witchery a menace to Nigeria society or the constant human rituals engaged by the Yorubas in this modern age? Yorubas are still using women and children for rituals, even Yoruba pastors engage in human sacrifice, Yorubas still burning people to death for little theft.. Non of these hardly happen in other parts of the country.. If that does not bother you then you are indeed lost.

Do you realize how he has tactically deconstructed and destroyed your Ekhaladeran? He has successfully convinced those who previously thought your hoax had any shred of truth to now have a rethink, people who would not ordinarily ask questions about such things are now awakened and wondering why, in a hierarchical and patrilineal society where a male child is golden, that a father would kill his only son in order to have more? He did great damage to your hoax when he used the analogy of a house owner burning down his property so he could acquire means to build more.

You call him inconsequential grin You need your head examined.
Mumu like you.. Which Hoax? Did you ask those people you mentioned between Ekhaladeran story and Oduduwa descending from the heavens which one they believe to be true?
While you there like the mumu you are wondering why a father will kill his son, why not wonder why the Yorubas are still using their women and children for rituals? Why is that so prevalent in the Yoruba society? Everyday you hear story of yoruba people killing women, children, using them for sacrifice.. ever wondered about badoo?
Do u really think Nigerians are stupid?

FYI: Ekhaladeran is Oduduwa.. and Everybody believes it.

All these Bini hacks with unintelligent responses.

A simple google search about Historians in Nigeria would have helped you.

Apart from Kenneth Dike, Afigbo, Abdulahi Smith & a few others of non-Yoruba origin, the number of Historians who are Yoruba is high & they are in high demand in the Americas & Europe. You can look them up, be useful to yourself. grin

As for material historical evidences, Yoruba has obelisks, arts in stone, wood, clay & metals. As for recorded evidence, Yoruba has Ifa which everyone is dying to learn even in the 21st century. What do the Edo/Bini have? A art that is an appendage of the Yoruba; a monarchy that is an appendage of the Yoruba & indigenous religion filled with gods in the Yoruba pantheon. Bini’s relevance revolves around its connection with Yoruba. Look up olokun head, that work is dated to be from very many centuries ago yet it t was so intensely made that it trounces any work out of Africa including Bini - fact.

Where is the interest in Yoruba history, you ask? This is a foolish question but do you know how many research papers or books published almost yearly on Yoruba? Do you know how many foreign scholars made their career out of Yoruba history? Let me give you an illustration so you’ll understand. Bini had a sustained contact with Europeans from about the 15th/16th century meanwhile Europeans had contact with Yoruba proper just starting from the 19th century and they havee been crazy about Yoruba history ever since. For starters google Leo Fobrenius & Dierk Lange. JDY Perl wrote Yoruba history till he passed in the early 2000s. P. Verger, Ulli Bierer, Morton & Frank Willet all did Yoruba history their entire lives. Recently, there are the Sustan Preston & a bunch of caucasians digging into Yoruba history. Apart from the early researchers such has Smith, Bradbury, Lloyd please give us a list of people interested in Bini history, I’ll wait cheesy

Nobody is stopping Bini from selling its own history. The problem here is that it contradicts what was dug around Bini & your palace; it contradicts archeological datings of materials found in your own place; it contradicts tests done on soil layers and resulting periods of occupation; it contradicts the data your king, palace chiefs & old men gave in the old days; it contradicts records in the archives and museums herein Naija & overseas. Do you see why no one is interested in your king’s book & the history at that? Do you see why researchers avoid that story, it can ruin a researcher’s career in an instant! grin. See, your falsehood stories have a lot of material & non-material data given to Europeans by your own forefathers to contend with. Maybe your forefathers should not have assisted the Europeans in the research works conducted decades ago. grin
Awesome piece from you. Kudos

The political system in Nigeria demands a militancy approach to remain respected and left alone without bother. You have to demonstrate insanity and readiness for mass murder against your opponents. Unfortunately Yoruba acts as if we are amongst civilized peoples like us who acknowledge diplomacy as a viable tool for conflict resolution. Nigeria only understands machette and guns as tools for conflict resolution. In this respect Yoruba is behind and disillusioned.

After what yanminri did to them in the war Edo learnt not to fvk with Ibo.

Nobody fvks with the Northerner.

Even Ijaw gets respect and people back off.

This simple social relationship of "you fvck with me I kill you" does not need a university degree or a dissertation paper to see and conclude.

When others say Yoruba is a coward they know in real sense we are not....but the interpretation of that is like saying " Yoruba, when are you going to kill us?"

Please permit to use the following graphic to illustrate my point. grin grin

Yes Malian brought us Islam, and there was no conquest. They came as traders and travellers and were our guests in Ilorin which was an ancient trade route into and out of Yorubaland. Their presence amongst us led to cultural exchange and Islam. Yoruba has never been Islamized by conquest. Never in our history.

The same cannot be said of Edo.

Do you forget that your forefathers were weaklings who were continually conquered and subjugated?
Great Benin Kingdom conquered and ruled Eastern Yoruba.
Fulani conquered and ruled Ilorin
Nupe conquered and ruled Oyo.

Now the Igbos are taking Lagos away from you, relegating your people to the slums.
