As much as I appreciate this gesture, he should've gotten her a durable car.

Maintenance of this vehicle is high but a Toyota SUV would've been a better option.

I hope you also condemned Davido when he bought one for Chioma.

1. Davido is far wealthier than this fella, if his music career tanks he has his family money/business/inheritance to fall back on
2. Davido bought a jeep for Chioma, a more practical car, a car she can actually enjoy
3. Girl friend and mother are not comparable. you can try to win affection/impress your GF, when it comes to your mother it's about doing what is right, what is sustainable.
4.I bet you he didnt ask his mother what car she wants. I am sure she would never have said porsche 911.
5. then again a wise mother would have said I dont need this car, give me the money. So if she and her son end up in penury as a lot of footballers do when their careers are over, I guess she deserves it.

Like I said earlier i had never heard his name before so i g0ogled him: his highest ever transfer fee was 1m euros, this kind of player earns around 300-500k euros in a year (before tax). he is either living above his means or he has a side business, you can only guess which

Thats cute kiss

He must be really rich to have thought of a Porsche. That stuff is expensive to maintain, especially regions that isn't Lagos, Abuja or Port Harcourt

My Brother Enugu is one of the best cities in Nigeria. Lagos might be the richest, but count Lagos out if u are talking of beautiful, safe, ease of movement and good life.

You earn 10m per month (even lower than I said) and you are buying a 70m car and you are there telling me he can maintain it? BTW when you earn 10m your actual take home is approx 6-7m, so this fool of a boy used 10 months salary to buy a car his mother cannot drive everyday just so he can put picture on social media and bigger fools can say what a good son he is. Wellldone

A sensible son will take the 70m and buy 2 flats for his mother in Lagos so she can earn rent for the rest of her life
like I said earlier a sensible mother will reject the car and say give me the money.

it's clear the apple doesnt fall far from the tree and we can see where the stupid behaviour comes from

LOL!

You're looking at it from the economic angle and judging how the cost of this car would hit hard on his low earnings/savings. But all I see here is an act of true love and I want to look at it from the brighter side.

I think the young man must have thought this over before deciding to buy it. Heck, it's his mother after all; there's no sacrifice too big for a mother's love.

So, whether he goes broke as a result of this or becomes richer, what matters most is that it will go down in history that this young man bought his mom a Porsche; which I think is more significant than buying one for a mere girlfriend.

There are sensible ways to show affection, like I said he could have bought 2 flats that ensures his mum has a pension for life.

This is a huge myopic statement!!

eezeribe:
Thank God for his life... He couldn't have achieved that with a BSc certificate.
In fact, 35 years salary, gratuity and pension accumulated in one lifetime may never be able to purchase that model.

Standing ovation, man!

Too many fools in Nigeria.

They would applaud him because they don't have a brain to reason like this.

And when this fool is broke in future like Oruma, his fellow fools would be shouting "NFF has abandoned him. They should help him".
