I prefer to stay focused on Yoruba. The Yorubas (including Egba) were conquered and ruled by Benin. Conquering Yoruba was the easiest for us. Your ancestors choose to flee into the bushes when Benin is coming. Your cowardly Men fled leaving their wives and children behind.. you know how many Yoruba men fell inside hole and some drowned while running away from Benin army?

Go visit Orangun ILA( the first son of Odua) , Owu, Popo King, Oniketu , Obokun etc and ask them, whose seat is supreme? They will inform you as Oba Bini acknowledge recently that Ooni seat, is the most revered ,because it was the seat of their ancestor, called , Oduduwa/Admila . Funny enough, Oranmiyan sustained this legacy and his descendants uphold it .
