This makes sense of course, I know many parents who would invest in stocks then sell off at school fees season then reinvest again waiting for the next school fees season. I buy into this idea especially if you are able to monitor the stocks first hand to make sure you don't lose a lot and pull a Hunniesuzzie.

But I've also witnessed some ridiculous investments imo. If you are saving up to give your child a better future, then that child better be having atleast 20 million in that account when you pass and that's for today's economy, who knows what the reasonable amount would 'be when our kids graduate college. To open a savings account where you throw in 10k monthly is ridiculous, especially when I read in the post I quoted that such accounts have a 3% interest rate and I assume that's not per month.

Again if a buxed up grandma is looking for a place to stash away some money for the grand kids, then even FGNSB doesn't seem like a bad idea. My post wasn't to discourage saving but to bring up conversations like this, and to make askers aware that this isn't the kinda question you ask online and then invest in the popular reply. Investments would vary based on primary reason for investing in the child, how much you have to invest etc. I'm just gonna stop typing now cuz I'm pregnant and tired.

My dear...its very normal..my LO is 5months and always generating so much spit..in fact he now splashes it on me...its just a phase..just get more bibs and always have one on his neck so it absorbs all d spit...

immunization is on Tuesday and Thursday, when you get to Onipanu,enter the road where the police station is and tell a bike man to lead you there,just give them #100.Try and be there very early so you can leave on time.

My 5 month old had a healthy appetite when younger and was chubby. but since he became 4 months, I introduced formula due to milk supply decline. His milk intake is reduced to 120ml max and 60ml at daycare during a feed, if you try to give him more, he would just pout and play with the nipple. This is a baby that takes 5-6 oz previously (breast milk with a bottle) I am worried that he is not taking as much as he should and is not gaining weight as much.
Is it a formula brand issue? or he just does not like to suck as much. Formula brand is Enfamil. Meanwhile, when I gave him fruit puree up to 4 oz with a spoon, he finishes it.

PS: I have made ogi (from scratch, proud of myself) so would start him on that from next week.

Breast milk is lighter so babies take more of that. However he may just be getting tired of milk and looking for solids. Try him with supported sitter cereal (4 months plus) and the ogi (welldone, my lazy arse could never) and see how it goes

Please leave her o. She will walk. Is she holding things to stand? Is she reaching her Mile stones? Then she would walk. SIL came with some outfits on sunday for my baby for her her birthday photo shoot and started saying how my baby should do and walk because she wants to see her standing with her shorts on that day. I jejely carried my baby from her and told her them no dey give award for pikin wey waka before one year. I said it calmly because she's my fave SIL. If it were the other ones, even hubby knows that my voice will change and I will leave that place and not come out till they leave. Bikoo don't let anybody pressure you or your baby. She will stand and walk when she will and you will not even remember the time she was not walking.

I use peak milk and sometimes loya milk (they are affordable. They each retail at 900 and sometimes 1k. Peak goes for 11k per carton and it's 12 packs inside)

Please ensure it's full cream (it's always written on the pack)

I will never advise anybody to do this kids savings account thing. If you press very well and ask your account officers questions, you will find that the interest rates are quite ridiculous. A colleague did one for her child with First Bank for 5years and after two years, she realised how low the interest was and when she wanted to terminate, she was told she would lose all of the interest and then some fraction from her money as penalty. These banks make money from your money and you don't get anything from it and while saving, please consider the inflation rate because 10k two years ago is not 10k now. Safe bets are treasury bills (when the interest was good), mutual funds or properties. Do properties if you have a stash you are not using. I made a tidy sum two years ago selling a property I bought in Ikorodu in 2013. It appreciates and never loses value.

I didn't aware, me I just bought powdered pap from a trusted person and moved on

For oatmeal was it blended before feeding? That may have been the issue

My dear she rejected it again when I started the process o so she has been weaned, I cannot kee myself Biko, now she has rejected bottles, she would rather be fed with spoon from a plate, I think when I introduce something new she rejects the former... I don’t know again o
