Hello readers. We recently did some research and we’ve decided to rank the most popular celebrities (public figures) in Nigeria. The list below consists of Nigerian celebrities that we can tell are the most loved by the Nigerian people. The list below mostly feature entertainers, cutting across the music industry, Nollywood, comedy and more. The ranking is mostly based on the amount of love and attention we noticed these people have gotten from social media, on the street, and how much people appreciate their works and persona in general in recent months. We’ve also attached a poll down below the ranking for our readers to vote and see results of the poll after.
The list below is based on knowledge gathered within the last 12 months.

Tekno became famous after his Duro hit song. His popularity grew with the continuous release of more hit songs with funny lyrics. Tekno gives out to help other Nigerians on instagram regularly. In 2017 alone he gave out 5million Naira to his followers on twitter. We’ve gathered Tekno is really loved amongst the youths and children. He has risen to the top really fast.

Since his record label bruhaha started he’s gotten so much support from fans and colleagues, He was voted the most handsome artist in Nigeria in a poll conducted by T.I.N Magazine

Davido is always among the most searched people in Nigeria on google every year. He is the most followed Nigerian on social media. Davido is killing it. And he definitely has a dope PR team.
By now I believe any sensible music lover would agree Davido is too superior to Wizkid when it comes to music quality. Davido is phenomenal wizkid repeats the same thing and the kids love it. But
Davido has the attention of Adults, youths and kids.
I believe Davido is definitely greatest music maker we've had in the last decade.

No problem with list but Davido is certainly not the most loved or even liked Celeb in Nigeria. Slap me with proofs if I'm wrong.

For me comedians are the most loved,and Basketmouth or Bovi should be top of the list.
