The problem with Nigeria is either nobody want to fix anything - their country has been broken for such a long time - they got used to it. They got used to black outs (it been decades since they enjoyed 24-7 power), boko-haram (been there for ages!), corruption ( from 1970s!), name anything....it entrenched, stage 4 malignant cancer that has spread all over the system & cannot be TREATED. But they are plenty of witchdoctors, pastors & dangotes in Nigeria - who give them hope! false hope.

Nigeria got Oil with Indonesia about the same time - 1970s . They are about the same size/population. Indonesia had Suharto looting more billions of dollars than Nigeria goons. But Indonensia have turned around their country. Jakarta is not comparable at all to Lagos.

The closely you'll come to delusional people like Nigerians are Somalis. You talk to say Ethiopeans - very proud people but they know they are country is one hell hole - and they want fix it.

Somalis just like Nigerians seem overwhelmed by the kind of mess their country is in - so they engage in grand delusions bordering on madness - both are deeply convinced they cannot untangle the clan (for somalis) or the religious-tribal difference (Nigeria) -- so the rational thing really for them is to flee and invest elsewhere. Once in a while a patriotic somali or nigeria will emigrate back to Lagos or Mogadishu - and try to fix things - only to ran back because the scale of the problem is just HUGE - basically nothing works - not water, not electricity, not security, name it - you're constantly turning your generator on if not evading kidnappers.

lil uzzy, the Kenyan parliament was modeled after the British parliament. It was built in the 50s and thats where whites used to undertake their proceedings. Just in case you didnt know, the British had full plans of settling here. It was actually done by the Free Masons who have ruled England for over 200 years. It has lots of signs and symbols as they considered Kenya a superb extension of Britain. To this day, British people drool and salivate when the name Kenya is mentioned. The interior has only been remodeled over time. As you can see, the Kenyan parliament is digital. Our members dont need to raise their hands like students (like yours), they have a button they can press and voting is digital via the fixed computers you can see. Im guessing yours do voting manually in papers.
