I haven't sent them any message, since I don't know which email I should refer my message to and don't want it to like am in haste to fly out of naija

Are you on scholarship cos i read the approval message of someone whose application took 6 months, although is on scholarship. I assume it is normal for those on scholarship. Pls ask for assistance on this forum, someone could help with CIC contact address and how to tackle it.

To be honest the whole app system still doesn't make sense to me.

Steper4u:
I'm damn fed up of this Canadian study permit, its now 16weeks now that I applied, there hasn't been any update on my timeline apart from biometric completed.
I applied online on 15th February and did my biometric the next day(16th February). I'm fed up, fed up. I should've opted for European study permit instead of this wasting time Canadian visa

I'm not on scholarship at all and I'm even wondering what could be the delay, background check hasn't changed since the day I applied

Seriously, its so annoying, this visa application is just a waste of time to me, cos why should it be taking 4months before a decision is made on an application

Go to vfs early in the morning and tell the security guards you meet there that you're there for Canadian visa biometric capturing, you'll be guided to what to do

Thanks. Since tomorrow is a public holiday, I doubt they will open right?

I guess that would have to be done on Monday abi? undecided

From what I have seen so far, If you are given a slip/paper after the medicals, scan and send to their email. I did upfront but they still requested medicals from me, so i have sent over a dozen emails to them with the e medical slip I submitted during the application, still hoping for a response soon.
I will advise you to do another medical, if the upfront medical has stayed more than 4 months.

I am also thinking maybe it's taking them time to check the authenticity of your bank details ( if you have more than one source of prove of fund ) but even at that , 4 months is damn too much.

When is your resumption sir ?

I'll be applying for Master's degree at Regina too. Pls, how long did it take them to grant you admission?

Akchi32:
Hello Everyone!
I need your help. i have a peculiar challenge. i applied for TRV with an admission to study PGC but was denied on the ground of purpose of visit. During my waiting for a decision, i also applied to University of Regina, i was offered admission in Masters Programme. I am about to apply for TRV, my question is,

1. Should i state in my SOP the reason for the initial denial? Bearing in mind its not same programme i am reapplying for.
2. Should i go ahead and apply as a fresh applicant? Though stating categorically that I've been previously denied visa in my form.
3. Please advise if what you have in mind is entirely different from what i stated above.

Thanks in anticipation.

Oh no it hasn't, I did the medicals May, 2018...... still waiting for a reply giving them like 2 weeks.

This is crazy though, mine is 14weeks now though I got medical request after 8 weeks of application. I believe they are having ish with the online applications. I will advise you send a case specific email to them or better still order for your gcmsnote for more info of what they are currently doing with your application, though this will take 30days to get feedback on your application for GSCMSnote. Just get yourself busy in order to avoid any fear. E go beta

IOM Abuja
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Phocusjosh(m): 3:31pm On Jun 14, 2018
Okay, I will advise you to go there with the CIC medical request, your upfront medical payment receipt, medical slip and additional cash. I can vividly remember during my medical at children practice Ikoyi, where the receptionist stated that those who came for upfront medical might be requested again for medical; its a 50/50 thing though, and if this occurs, applicant would be advised to pay half of the full payment.

I have done that, they told me that part of client confidentiality, they don't keep records, thay submit it all, so after waiting for 2 weeks, if it still shows that i need medicals, then I will have to do it again. I also heard that of children's practice, they just redocument and send.

@ Steper4u, kindly send a mail to accraimmigration@international.gc.ca, accra.immigration@international.gc.ca, lagos.immigration@international.gc.ca immediately. Your application has exceeded the normal processing time and it will not affect your application negatively. It is possible that a VO is unknowingly sitting on your application. 16 weeks without a medical call is outrageous. A colleague of mine waited 24 weeks before sending a mail. She got approved a week after sending the mail

The subject should be something like this
UPDATE FOR STUDY PERMIT APPLICATION IFO STELLA MARIS YAKUB APPLICATION NO: S309090909. Ensure you state that your application has spent 16 weeks with them, which is way beyond the normal processing time.

Shoot the mail now. Wish you the best

You need ''study leave letter'' from your children's school indicating the period they will be away and when they will return. Also inquire about schools/daycare close to the location of where you will be studying in Canada, then attach your email trail inquiries to your application.

I also submitted a family application.
