A One Million Man March was today organized in support of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu's reelection by the Abia State Market Almagameted Traders Association (ASMATA) in Umuahia.

The march, which saw the traders walk on the streets of Umuahia in their numbers and terminated at Government House, witnessed unanimous endorsement of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu as the consensus governorship candidate of the traders in the State in 2019 general elections.

Addressing the mammoth crowd of traders, the Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu announced a donation of a coaster bus to the ASMATA and appreciated the solidarity shown to him, saying that it is the greatest show of love from them.

The Governor said he values traders in the State, explaining that, he made trade & commerce one of the pillars of development of his administration because of his value for traders. He informed that the Umuchichi Road in Aba has been awarded for construction, also that work would soon commence at Ngwa Road and Uratta and Road in Aba, disclosing that non of the roads he built has pot holes as he has maintained building of quality road infrastructure in the State.

Dr. Ikpeazu also said that he is building roads in Aba to ensure the markets in Aba have good roads connecting the markets and traders from neighbouring States.

He promised to ensure ease of doing business for all traders in Abia State and, urged then to ensure they get their PVCs in readiness for 2019 elections, adding that time for promise and fail has gone.

According to him any politician who wants the peoples' votes must show the people what he has done for them warning that no opposition party member should post bills on the projects he has done for the people of the State.

Earlier, the President, ASMATA, Chief Emeka Enechebe said they had the march in support of the Governor for his great achievements in the State, including the construction of the Faulks road that leads to Ariaria International Market among others and conveyed the decision of the traders to adopt Dr. Ikpeazu as the only governorship candidate for 2019 elections which they unanimously affirmed to.

According to the Chairman and other traders that spoke at the event, traders in the State are ready to do all within their powers to ensure Governor Okezie Ikpeazu retained his position till 2023.

@AbiaOnline it seem you’re one and same as the other propagandist called “Poponkon”.

- The abysmal performance of Ikpeazu despite huge opportunities in Abia State is shocking. Who will re-elect him? Except if APGA doesn’t present a decent candidate.

Ikpeazu is the best thing to have ever happened to Abia since 1999. He's changing the narrative in Abia, he's shown us that he's not just a governor but the people's governor. Before this day; Abia, Aba precisely, used to be a deathtrap in terms of road infrastructure until today. He's cleaning Abia, cleansing her of the mess of the past Criminals who milked the state's treasury for sixteen solid years. Those who live in Abia will testify that Ikpeazu is working, even Osibanjo can attest to that. His projects are littered all across the state of which will be unveiled pictorially to Abians outside the state and every other well meaning Nigerian who has known Abia as a dead state. He's a silent achiever.

if the past Orji Uzor Kalu and thief A. Orji performed a little compared to Ikpeazu's performance, this state would have been better by now. But Ikpeazu is just laying the foundation of good governance in Abia State. OVI till 2023.

he hinted on it few days ago when he visited Magic fm, Aba. In a little while the whole bill will be settled. This is what you see when your predecessors are criminals, the available fund will be so meager to cater for the state. I'm so glad that he's making sure that every moribund industry is revitalize. All these things are geared towards improving the IGR of Abia. I know of about few heavy companies that those criminals abandoned that he, Ikpeazu is fighting very hard to revitalize.

Abia State has a history of bad leadership from Orji to T. A Orji and Ikpeazu. God will judge those people that are bent on running the state aground.

Sir, Stop holding brief 4 failure in governance. I dint say pensioners are being owed 1month or 3 or 4 or even 6months. Get it clear, I said ONW WHOLE YEAR! No Excuse justifies that. That is wickedness on these aged parents!!! Talking about abysmal performance of his predecessors as reason of not being able to pay is unacceptable

Don't mind the paid charlatans who think elections are won on the internet. Let them go to Ariaria Market and tell the businessmen who are currently enjoying the benefits of the good road network there that OVI is a failure.

Once bitten, twice shy. How many legacy projects did OUK or T.A Orji leave in Abia State?

When he came in to office he paid them eleven months at a stretch, that's to tell you that he's been trying his best. Like he said, before the year runs out we will no longer be talking about that any longer.

What's 'our potentials', if I may ask? I'm happy you acknowledged he did some 'short' roads. I wish the previous government did some short roads too. For your information, you can now drive from beginning to the end of 'short' Faulks Road as well. Soon the short Portharcourt Road will join the league of completed projects.

I have no business with Ebonyi State. I'm more concerned with Abia. Until I see people relocating their businesses from Aba to Ebonyi, then I will take you guys serious.

You are entitled to hate or denigrate the achievements of the Governor, it cannot stop him from completing his mandate and securing a hitch-free second tenure because objective critics are watching
