QuotaSystem:You an irredeemable liar and a m0ron at the same time. Lagos oil field is so negligible to Nigeria's total production as the only existing oil field produces just 3,500 bpd! That will be 0.5% of Dangote refinery's total capacity! Go and dig up another lie! |

debaj10:4 Nations? Lol. Now tell me, are there more rich developed nations with capacity for alternative energy sources than poor technologically backward countries or the other way round? Bros, 100 years from now, many countries will still depend on fossil fuels, that is the reality. Dangote is no fool not to do a long term feasibility study before sinking billions of $ (and neither are his lenders), if he was he wouldn't have such a string of successful business ventures of continental proportions. |

TylerDurden:According to Mr. Devakumar Edwin, Group Executive Director, Strategy, Portfolio Development and Capital Projects - DANGOTE REFINERY & PETROCHEMICAL PLANT: So, we decided to expand the capability of the refinery to handle oil from different sources. Today, the Dangote Refinery can process a wide range of crudes, such as all the African crudes including that of Algeria, Libya, Angola, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, etc., the U.S. crudes, Arab Light, etc. Since we are not dependent on Nigerian crude, we are not prone to the risk of the Niger Delta disturbance. We do not use pipelines; rather, we use ships. We use Single Point Mooring Buoys (SPMs) for offloading the crude and loading the products," he said. You're wasting your time with irrational people. Hes mad Dangote didn't want to invest in his state. Now they run around making conspiracy theories. They wont be getting ND oil but not through pipelines since they might blow it up an any time. They also have option to source it from other countries. Lagos hasn't produced oil yet thats why they havent received 13% derivation. I check NBS and havebt seen a single payment since i checked in 2017. QuotaSystem: |

TylerDurden:Trading that same humble kolanut and groundnuts across African countries is where Aminu Dantata (Dangote's uncle and benefactor) got the N500,000 which he gave Dangote to start with as capital. That same gworo money was the seed that made him into the worlds richest black man today, with the capacity to build a multibillion dollar refinery that your lazy asses cannot build and instead are dreaming of destroying. You should be ashamed that an Aboki from Kano without a drop of oil is able to build an oil refinery and even pass a pipeline under your waters, yet all you can do is drink shekpe and shout BOMB! |

The biggest refinery in the world is in Inda . Not known for crude oil Dangote does not need Nigerian crude oil for his refinery. Crude oil is acommodity with an internationa price. He can buy oil from ANYWHERE IF he uses Niger Delta oil. He will PAY FOR IT. The Niger Delta oil when it comes out of the ground is under the control of the producers like SHELL MOBIL CHEVRON etc who own the oil jointly with the Nigerian State. These companies are businesses just like Dangote and they will not give away their oil for less than market value Lagos was chosen because it is coastal . That means he can import crude oil and export products easily. I personally believe there are many factors why he chose Lagos and interesttingly HE LIVES IN LAGOS |

TylerDurden:Do you gnats know how much Lagos ports contribute to Nigerian economy? Before its declaration as an oil producing state it was already beating you as the top IGR state in Nigeria. We have hoodwinked you! Oil producing state is different from oil mining state. Even if ee do not have oil wells we do produce oil from the refinery and qualify as an oil producing state. Beside, Folawiyo has OML in Lagos, which is different from OPL.....and Folawiyo is independent of Dangote. You punks talk shyyte all day but zero facts. Hey Mods, come and rescue me before I have to show my disgust for these freaks and get a ban. ![]() |

| Re: Dangote's Deep-sea Pipeline project exposes the Lagos crude oil fraud by ImperialYoruba: 8:05pm On Jun 17, 2018 |
aribisala0:Dangote has deep appreciation for Yoruba. In one story he told of how his grandfather, the Dantata dynasty head, had nothing to start with but was brought into kolanut trade by Yorubas that trade across the West African belt. Dantata rose into prosperity in the North and the legacy is what is Dangote today. He believes in the divine blessings in Yorubaland. His belief is so strong that even in North he is viewed as a sellout. Dangote attends Yoruba social events whether in mosque or church. He acknowledges the benevolence of Yorubaland to the legacy of wealth in his family hold today. If he is not with Ooni, he is with Alaafin, he goes to pay homage to Awujale and stops over to felicitate with Alake. He leaves there and visit for dinner with Deji. When in Lagos you find him in Eleko's palace or attending social events with Ambode. He is at Polo club, he is at marina on the yatch, he is at Island club...... He is a thorough businessman and I believe all businessmen protect their empire against risks. If SS and SE were not risky places I see no reason why Dangote should not be seen with Dick Clark or Nwabueze launching projects and fraternizing at social events. The imperative is on SS and SE to make their regions business friendly so investment money can pour in. Dangote is not the only Northerner that respect the Yoruba culture, Isiaku Rabiu is another one. In fact he just died few days ago. He has investments in Apapa that dates back many decades. He is not literate and so avoids the Lagos social circle but he was a close buddy with Oyekan before the Oba died. There is ample example for Ibo to follow but they refuse to open up their region. Even if the political class in Nigeria say we are ready for a Ibo president, dont you know the corporate class can oppose it and kill the idea? These guys should wake up! |

OP let us assume that you are even right that Dangote refinery would be lifting oil from ND, would it be for free? Do you know the quantum of gas being flared daily from Warri alone not to talk of the whole ND? |

lovat:I dont care where the paranoid conspiracy theorist is from. His arguements are stupid and irrational. These weak appeals negate these facts. This why neither of you can counter the arguements present so you guys just on pointless rants. You should learn how to form a proper arguement since you really don't how to. Lol you demented conspiracy clowns think its a sign of maturity to make vapid arguements that you can't back up? Please debunk my arguements i present below if you can. •Dangote is not getting oil from pipelined but ships. •The refinery can refine heavy oil from neighboring countries. •Companies allowed to site refinery anywhere they please. Thats why Petrolex is building their oil refinery in ogun which doesn't have oil producing status. The honest truth is that Lagos has no crude oil. The only reason they gave Lagos that fake status is so that Dangote can site his refinery there will sourcing crude from the ND.•Lagos got the status because the federal government recognized the offshore oil wells. They haven't received 13% derivation yet since they have produced yet. • the subsea pipeline is gas pipeline not crude. It puts the gas to productive use so it isnt flared. Next its being sold by oil companies so its not free. The gas is supposed to be used for his fertilizer plant. By opting for a deep sea pipeline, Dangote is hoping to secure crude supply to his refinery for onward shipment across west Africa. The list of acreages from which the EWOGGS is expected to extract natural gas includes ExxonMobil operated OMLs 70 and 138, Amni-operated OML 52, Shell operated OML 77, Sunlink-held OML 144 and First E&P held OMLs 71 and 72, in which West African E&P, a Dangote subsidiary, has significant stake. The starting point for the pipelines is a new-build platform in OML 72, gathering gas from the hub with OML 52/70/71/72.You guys are really to slow for the debates. If you guys bothered to read you would not be making idiotic claims left and right and getting basic facts wrong.

Dangote originally wanted to site the refinery in Ondo state, but due to bad politics (Up till now I still don't understand what happened) he moved it to Lagos, it would have been better should the project be sited in Ondo, it's closer to Delta and Bayelsa, Ondo produces about 80-100,000 barrel per day, so sourcing for crude won't be difficult. It's a welcome development thou , at least we should stop the importation of fuel. |
