Yesterday, security operatives who were led by the Attorney general and Commissioner for Justice Barr Kaka Shehu Lawan and commissioner for Land and survey Borno state Hon. Sugun Mai Mele and other Borno state officials, arrested some men and women in Galadima area of Maiduguri, Borno state capital.

Those arrested were said to have been caught selling illegal drugs, alcohol, cigarettes and also dead dog and donkey meat despite the guest houses in the area already demolished.

The suspects were taking into custody by the operatives of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS).

I condemn the dog meat arrest part but the alcohol part is highly justified.

Alcohol should be totally banned in Nigeria it has caused more harm than good. Alcohol has caused many accidents and deaths. It has caused violence, misbehaviour , it has lead to rape and so many more..

the only way to stop alcohol and cigarette in Nigeria is to close the company then the alcohol and cigarette won't be available for the costumers.

Alcoholism is far better than looting our treasury, all our political office holder should be hanged, alcohol is a right to all , it helps people forget their many sorrows caused by politicians and nature. In fact alcohol is a remedy for hardship, if you bane it the northerners will sniff sock pits.

I know it's a Muslim that told SARS to go make the arrest. I pity Northern Christians.

I don't really understand Northern Nigeria anymore.

The reasons for which those innocent people were illegally molested, humiliated, hounded, arrested and finally incarcerated in a SARS dungeon are not criminal acts.

In the light of the foregoing, it's crystal clear that the actions of the Borno/Federal govts boil down to the Enforcement of their Islamization Policy.

Southerners of the Eastern and South Southern extraction, be warned...it's time to abandon the Northern economy to the North and for the North alone.

Nigerian police dont even check the constitution before carrying out their jobs. A non law enforcement man will just give you a directive on what to do n you ll ignorantly obey it cos he is your Boss or wot. Alcohol, dog or cigarette are not prohibited in nigeria.

As if they don't patronize them. Is this the solution to the issues on ground?

this people don't have work to do, how is the selling of alcohol and dog meat a crime in Nigeria? or are we being Islamized? we have a lot of security challenges and this people are busy fooling themselves.
