hollandis: Is it from your family members that they acquired the licenses through corrupt ways? As much as you are sure they acquired licenses through fraudulent means, which constitution are you looking for? Head to court straight with your evidences! Efcc and ICPC may also help, please, find your way to their offices with your evidences. Lazy youth, thinking from poverty stricken mentality! 13 Likes 2 Shares |

A simple law should require that only publicly quoted entities should own oil wells with no one family owning more than 5 percent. Allocation of oil wells which pretty much is allocation of wealth by government to cronies is rent seeking. It is also disruptive to efficient and moral economic growth as it distracts everyone. It has produced an indolent elite class that are unchallenged to be creative. 9 Likes 1 Share |

hollandis: Honestly,I wish. it's because of issues like this oil wells stuff that Nigeria will not make progress. imagine something that is supposed to belonging to everybody being enjoyed by a few and you expect to understand what others are going true or even want the status quo to change. how does an oil well owner understand the issue of poor electricity supply when he/she have the resources to generate power for himself even in the next hundred years. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Every OML in nigeria is effectively owned by nigerian govt. Nnpc and its subsidiaries have at least 51% of each oil mining licence (OML). The remaining 49% is usually shared by oda companies. Oml is granted to companies for 5-20 years, with option for renewal. The main issue here is FG has over 100 oml which dey own 51%, and dey still get tax of 85% for joint venture/50% for production sharing contract. Yet there is poverty. May God punish our govt o. D oil block alakija owns today was rejected by the top oil companies, abeg Op y ur village pple no go apply for am She spent money for years before d tin blow, she still pay 85% tax on the 30 something percent she owns. Do u know how much adenuga spent in ondo before he hit oil Do u know how many oda spent millions of dollars and didnt hit any oil. If govt was doing its job no one go remember these guys. Are pple in dubai complaining about the few billionaires in dubai Nope cos govt is doing a good job. I pity the ND sha, i flew over d creeks in january almost all d rivers and land was polluted. No fish no farm land. Oil go finish one day 52 Likes 1 Share |

My dear i feel ur pain cos i do not see any unity ....being in an office in an oil company waiting for an interview only for a small notherner wey still dey grow bear bear carry letter with signature come drop,na so interview shift till second coming of christ ooo |

cptfash: So what if he is Igbo, he or she is asking a good question. Whatever profit those people got should have been used for commonwealth. We have no reason to sell oil well when we have NNPC. The £1000000 flower kija spent on her agbaya son would have built lots of schools and hospitals. If she bought the flower in Nigeria it would have help alot of lazy youth or hard working youths. you dont subcontract national resources its not done anywhere in the world. 2 Likes 1 Share |

if igbo ar complainin abt d oil licence because yoruba ar more successful in d oil and gas sector, and because yoruba have more licence than igbo in d sector i think wat dey should do is to go to d masters to teach them how to do business in a professional way rather than being wailing traders who ignorantly claim to control everything in abuja, lagos,d whole SW,igbo want to take another person land as their.dey claim dat igbo ve 85% of properties in abuja 91% of properties in lagos, igbo my brodas pls repent 1 Like |

Nobody seems to get at OP. She's Fulani and Muslim. They reap where they never sown. 87% of Oil wells are owned by Northerners. The little percentage given to Southerners is what OP wants to be taken away so that non can ever afford to run for presidency except the North. |
